@JSB Maybe you have not gotten to know Jesus for yourself, maybe you have the same way of thinking, that He allows bad things to happen to good people. Whatever your reason for feeling the way that you do seems like a personal issue. I know Jesus Christ for myself and I know what he has done for me and for countless others who trust and believe in Him. God gives us all free will and this means that we all have the free will to make decisions on our own, whether those decisions are good or bad. Some use their free will to do bad things and this is why bad things tend to happen and they also happen to good people too. It is not because Jesus does not love us, because He loves us all however, He does not like the sin. I use to have issues with forgiving. I didn’t understand why people go out their way to hurt others, especially those who have never done wrong to them. I had a lot of hurt and anger towards those people. It was days before my divorce hearing and my supervisor at work who is a Licensed Therapist and also has her own private practice in Marriage and Family Therapy, urged me to take time off from work, but wanted me to read a book before my court date, which was in a few short days. The book that she gave me, I will never forget, I was sitting in her office and she told me that as I’m reading the book, I am gonna cry, I may even become upset at the details of what happens in the book. I didn’t think that a book would help heal my heart from what I had endured in my marriage and in my life. One thing I will say is that during my marriage, I was rushed to the hospital and although I had been diagnosed with a hereditary illness while there, doctors told me that I had high levels of poison in my blood. I’m saying this to say I went through a lot. At first, I didn’t want to believe the doctors. Can you believe that, I did not want to believe the doctors? The emergency room doctor asked if I believed someone was harming me. Fast forward back to this book. I did not believe that a book could help me. She told me to just take the book and read it before my divorce hearing. Something compelled me later that night to read this book. As I began reading, I began to cry uncontrollably. Honestly, I cried throughout the entire book, it brought up so much emotion. I even threw the book when it suggested that the man in the book should forgive the person who changed his family’s life in the worst way. My supervisor did tell me it would be a normal reaction because she did the same, the first time she read this book. I remember saying, I would not forgive this guy either for what he did to this family in the book. Who could forgive something like that? Later that night and for the next two days, I would read some more, even after I said I wouldn’t. When my supervisor said I would cry, I may even throw the book from being absolutely disgusted, I sure did. This is why it took me three days to read it all. At first, it was overwhelming and too much to handle. It brought back memories, bad memories even from my childhood traumas. I have a better understanding of how God works. Often times, we don’t understand The Why. Why are bad things happening to good people? why do I have to forgive someone who has hurt and harmed me? It helped me so much towards my road of forgiveness. Some years later, they came out with the movie for this particular book. The movie was great, but not as detailed as the book. I’m sure if it was, the movie would have been more lengthy. A great movie though. The book was called, “THE SHACK.” Over the years, I wrote and published a book about my life. To be honest, this was a book I did not want to write, but it helped me once I finally did, to forgive the people who hurt me and to let go of the past. It is a process though and I do get flashbacks of what I went through. My book is called, “A Jealous Person Will Kill You, Literally!” My book was more for me. Many of the things that I detailed, I didn’t want people to know about. I cried a lot writing my own book. Even after my book was completed, I thought about deleting some of the things I talked about, before sending it to the publishing company, because it was too hurtful and I did not want anyone to know these things and/or the details. I did not delete anything. Maybe something in my book may help someone else. I didn’t just write my book. I waited years, I tried to fight the urge to write it. I made excuses on why I could not write my book. Every excuse I used, God removed them. Again, it was a painful process and a story behind it. It was just a feeling that came over me to just leave it in my book. When I moved back home to California years after my divorce, that is a whole story in itself Part 2. I met Jesus Christ face~to~face in the Summer of 2015. All I will say is that believing and forgiving can be a process in itself and it may not come overnight, or for many years. When I say that you have to get to know Jesus Christ for yourself, this is what I mean. The book The Shack became my first initial understanding of healing. I know this is a lot and you may not read all of this, but it is the truth, my truth. The Author of the book, “The Shack,” he says that these are his real life events. Some may not believe that they are, but I do because of my own experiences. I do recall that my former father~in~law was an atheist all his life. He died two years ago, he was in his mid 90’s and he found Christ before his death. Do not ask me how, I don’t know any of the details, I just recall that he did.

Gun- It’s called the “great equalizer” because it’s the only tool of protection that makes a woman able to defend herself from a man, or one man to another twice his size, or a few good men against an evil army etc etc. Its pie in the sky crap fantasy to show all these 110 lb little girls punch men as if does anything but bruise and break their own hands, arms and get them killed. We have to use logic, sense that use to be common that is brainwashed in all the fantasy lies of common propaganda sold every where. The gun was gift to the righteous to enable the blessed of God to stop evil that believes it can do anything it wants if it’s stronger. God meant for us to always be able to protect ourselves and when evil cheats God will stop them for us if we REMEMBER OUR GOD. It’s why God was so targeted and denied our entire lifetimes. Because evil knows we are weak not helpless without him and God will only step in when they cross a certain line. until then God allows evil to kick our butts until we remember who we are in Christ, the children of the Lord God Almighty who have already beaten Satan in Christ if we only accept that gift of Love from God. How can something so awesome have so much controversy in this world when it’s the only pure, true, and Holy truth we know. that I will never understand.

Perry Mason is a fictional character who relied upon a script prepared by a great writer with the help of a legal consultant. I did have a cool jury laugh aloud once when I complained about my demonstrative evidence falling off my easel. As I picked up the poster board from the floor, I lamented, "Gee, Perry Mason made this look so easy!" The laughter lightened the mood and relaxed the jurors a little. I learned from that to inject humor gently into some cases when appropriate, but never to use it too much.

I am sorry for this young lady and her family that was a terrible tragedy. However, there are too many people who call a Uber or Lyft and don't pay attention to who it is or the make, model or color of the vehicle that's picking them up. It even shows them the license plate number too, still many people who have been drinking have mistakenly gotten into my car anyway. This case sure did make my job as a Lyft driver more difficult but I always made sure to get people home safely. I would even wait until single unaccompanied women got inside their homes before leaving. So be safe people and make sure you know who is picking you up. The world is full of good and bad people so stay alert.

Some of his closing was trite and predictable, and part of it was too gimmicky for this sort of case in which the evidence is overwhelming. Tell the story in a compelling way, weave in the law, get in a pre-emptive strike against the unreasonable theory of the defense, and ask for the jury to use their common sense and deliver a guilty verdict. He covered the bases, but he was not brilliant. The case didn't require brilliance when there was that "avalanche" of evidence. I am thrilled the jury did the right thing.

No the Judge gave him the right sentence. He gave him a living Death. In this case it will probably be appealed but more likely to be rejected. If it was a death case they would probably be able to get another trial because of the sentence. The murderer is 27 years old he will never leave prison except when he dies. The Judge made sure of that in the different sentences he gave. Locked away like an animal. Told what to do everyday. No friends, fellow prisoners are not your friends. Only visits from family a few times a year. The same cell unless you go to a new cell. When your family leaves after visits you go back to your lonely cold hearted cell. No freedom. Why do Lawyers defend these obviously guilty people? How do you sleep at night? Knowing you want to free a murderer. Do you not feel guilty when they kill another?

Because they have a right to a defence.. innocent people have and do get locked up for other peoples crimes.. this guy was clearly guilty but each case is different. They say it's better to let 10 guilty people off the hook... than to lock up 1 innocent man for life

Their only interest is to win a case abd let it be said they're great lawyers🤫🤫

It’s the basis of what makes our criminal justice system fair. You have to assume they are innocent until they are proven guilty. The problem with defense lawyers not defending a killer is, if they DONT defend the case to the best of their abilities, he could appeal his case on grounds that his defense team sabotaged the trial. And then a killer would be free. This has happened many times unfortunately. In a way, they have to try to prove his innocence in order to put him away. That’s how it works, I agree that must be hard to do when you are sure he’s guilty.

They have to. If he can’t get defense they can’t try him if no trial there’s no conviction they can’t hold him in jail without conviction for more than a year
