Unfortunately this man who actually is a liar has helped that theory, however that is not always true. People can have processing issues what it may take extra time to respond. Definitely not the case here but I do not fully process things I hear the first time around…..I’ve even guessed responses that don’t always fit because I get tired of having to ask people to repeat what they say because it seems annoying to them. Just something to consider…..delayed process isn’t always an indicator of a lie just Like they claim looking away is a “lie detector”……. That is not always the case either.

He's not an addict. He shaved his body hair early on to avoid testing of his hair follicles because oxy has a short half life in blood but lives in your hair 90 days. I literally called this one at the beginning, and today he opened the door for Creighton Waters to cross him on WHY he shaved his entire body--because he did NOT want them taking samples. That SOB popped pills before going to detox so it would be in his blood but then as soon as he learned his hair would be pulled to be sampled shaved his entire body. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THIS crap.

Right, because he has done it all his life. He even admitted lying to his clients, his family his law firm. They all believed him in one way or another. However, the women that testified in his law firm called him a Tasmanian devil and the woman that confronted him about the money, said he was a Bull shitter. I think Maggie knew and was getting ready to leave him and because Paul was on his mother's side he wanted to get rid of all the conflict with the two of them. They saw through him and confronted him that night.
@valeriegriner5644
@valeriegriner5644 Жыл бұрын
Your theory is very similar to mine. I figure he killed them because of the criminal boat case coming up and because Maggie was probably going to leave him. She was staying in Edisto most of the time and was fed up with his drug habit (among other things). So...he was tired of dealing with them and lured them home to murder them.

@valeriegriner5644 Жыл бұрын
I noticed that, too. He won't say "murdered" or "killed." He always says "hurt" or "harm." In his sick mind, he thinks he did them a favor to keep them both out of that criminal boat trial that was coming up in a few days. Paul would have gone to prison(I believe). He said he wanted to "clear Paul's name," and he did. The dead body can't stand trial and the charges go away. He is really a psychopath.

He's incredibly good at deflection, distraction, feigning ignorance or misunderstanding to give him time to create an uninformative answer that appears to be responsive, and managing his body language so it fits what he wants others to perceive. He frequently makes himself the victim, even with his repeated protestations of how "sorry" he is that he "hurt" others. Given his astounding history of lying before and throughout this case and the ease with which he arrogantly continues to fabricate whatever he thinks will work for him at the moment, he comes across as a malignant narcissist and, perhaps, a sociopath who thinks he can successfully manipulate the situation.

@Sis crook He had no life insurance on either Maggie or Paul. Maggie had finally realized something didn't add up, so she was thinking about divorce (according to Blanca), and their Mozele home was in Maggie's name, not Alex', plus Paul would probably be found at least partly guilty for the intoxicated boat driving. Alex spent tons of money on his drug addiction, plus he had also stolen and swindled so much money from his law firm, from Sadie's (the housekeeper's family), and was desperate to reduce his potential future expenses, and increase his available cash, that killing became his choice of method to achieve that. In Alex' mind, money had become more necessary to him, than were the lives of Maggie, Paul, and even Buster (Buster has lost all 3 members of his immediate family. I don't know whether Buster was or was not assisting Alex with the 2 murders, but even if he was (no charges have been brought against Buster), that is a evil and despicable thing to do to him, and Buster won't ever forget it. I do believe Alex is 100% guilty of both these murders, but no matter what the verdict is, he will never again be a free man, due to all his financial crimes for which they will be filing charges at some point. There were way too many lies that Alex told, and those lies will come back to haunt them.

A BIG OVERLOOKED FACT: AM did not put Bubba in a cage after he took away the chicken, so if Maggie and Paul were murdered within minutes, Bubba should be free around the corpses when AM arrived on the scene. It is truly disturbing that there are people who are and have been taken in by this crook. He's not even a good liar, but he knows the first rule of lying is to tell people what they want to hear. Con artists depend on the target's willingness to overlook inconsistencies as they pursue their own benefit, and in so doing become a party to their own victimization. Sociopaths are many times likable people- that’s what makes them effective at their con. If he was just an abrasive turd, it would have been very difficult or near impossible for him to scam as many people as he has in his life. He is a master manipulator. Add in the fact that he thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room and you have a really dangerous individual.

I've been on this earth a lot of years. He's a braggart and arrogant. In the work place or a social setting he'd set my teeth on edge and have me looking for where I set my drink down just to get away from him. He's the type who name drops, pretends he cares about your life and always leads a conversation back to how much he thinks of himself. He pretends to be humble but arrogance oozes from him. He's the type looking for a way to get u to trust right before he sticks a knife in your back.

“I understand how many people I’ve hurt” no remorse. He’s been requesting (begging) to meet with them to tell them his story because he was being accused of “hurting” Paul and Maggie?! How about murdering Paul and Maggie? He couldn’t bring himself to say murdered his wife and son. So detached from the whole tragic situation. What a POS!

If the prosecution doesn't highlight the important points in closing arguments they will end up with a hung jury. They need state the total amount of all of the thefts together and then point out that they were from; friends, family, partners, quadriplegics, widows, children, the deceased, banks and everyone who Alex claims to "love and respect". They need to point out that he uttered "I always hurt the ones that I love". Then he walked that back with a stupid explanation. They need to point out that these thefts started before his addiction and were used to buy homes, land deals and a life of luxury, not drugs when he started. They need to point out that without Maggie's permission he couldn't borrow large amounts of money because she is on the titles of their property. They need to point out that she wasn't living at Moselle and her wedding ring was under the seat of her car. She had told other that she no longer trusted Alex. If she divorced him he would be wiped out. They need to point out that the lawsuit for Paul's accident was for $20 million dollars in damages. With Maggie gone, he would own everything and with Paul gone the boat accident lawsuit went away. Remind them that he was losing his job, his law license and his credit with the banks. The only way to end up with assets was to get rid of Maggie and Paul. He stated that he spent most of the time sitting on the golf cart at the kennels, which would make him close to the height of the defense's shooter theory. They need to point out that Alex (finally) admitted that he was at the kennels when he testified and stated that there was no one else around (besides him) minutes prior to when law enforcement (and the evidence) says that the murders took place. He then drove by the spot where Maggie's phone was thrown on his way to his parent's, where he parked by the woods instead of the driveway. Then he lied to everyone for the last seven months. Summation is; he had the weapons, the ammunition on site, the motive and he was the only one there, other than the two victims and nothing he says can be believed.

I think there is a possibility that he lied about being there in the evening so that the questions would stop earlier and law enforcement would put more focus on finding a nearby suspect. If he really was innocent, he would have a strong concern for who did it and want them found immediately. He had a loaded gun at the scene as well, which might indicate he was in "fight or flight" mode.
