I'll never forget Phil's fearlessness and team spirit and my favorite memory of him was the TD he scored when he caught the dropped pass in the end zone to Bavaro during sb 21. His joy and enthusiasm was so pure in that moment. One of my favorite giants of all time.

I remember being in a large room filled with Giants fans and leading up to the game we were fearful of the Broncos. When Phil came out before kickoff whipping that towel around and knocked the goal line pylon over i knew in my heart they would not be denied.

I like Phil, but I don’t believe he was a Navy SEAL. He was a Navy officer and flew helicopters during his 5 years of service. He doesn’t claim to be a SEAL in the video.

I don't think that he had any doubts playing football after being a Navy Seal. I know I wouldn't.. That is a tough training program they go through to become a Navy Seal..
