Hello. I live in Russia. I've been driving the Prius 20 for more than 10 years. I have always dreamed of upgrading the battery, and even saw batteries made by craftsmen based on LiFePO4 on sale. but on the other side of the country, so I didn't risk buying. i installed one of your batteries about 20 months ago, it worked well until this week when we took the 2009 prius on its first roadtrip. and we got repeated poa80 codes and had to return. now that it has cooled, its working without problems. is there a solution?

Yes, every blade has protection circuit inside to keep all the cells happy!

I had a question - are you planning to extend this perhaps and give us a more powerful plug in battery 🔋 as well? I remember 12 years ago they had some companies trying this . With lithium now perhaps we can convert gen2 Prius Into a plugin? Even if it gets 20-30km it would be amazing

You can build your own. Not hard, but it takes some serious money to do. My 2x30Ah cost around 3000$, but is limited by me to half capacity because I want it to last. The reason you have 60Ah is most batteries don't like 100A / many times the power it can take, again and again and again. Also your cargo is all taken up by the batterypack.

I recently started getting the P0A80 error code and many sites say it’s the Hybrid Battery. I was thinking of replacing it with one of your lithium batteries but wanted to know if they are shipped ready to install or would I need to sync all the voltages

Thanks for your answers. I own a gen 3 Prius (2011). I'm thinking of buying one of your replacement batteries, since the health of mine is at 54% (measured with your app). I'm also thinking of hacking the solar on my Prius. The ventilation feature is great, and I want to keep that. I just thinking of tapping the unused energy to top off the 12V battery, and the hybrid battery. I might add some supercapacitors in between as a buffer. I will set it up so that the charging will not exceed a SoC of 80%. I just hate thinking that theres lost energy. You see any issues with trickle charging the nexcell batteries?

Thanks Jack again for your product. Got mine in early April. Currently 53.8 MPG over 1,000 miles. With the current gas prices, got extra 100 miles per fill up, ~$10. Worth the money when the old battery is dying or having an arrow code. Sold the old battery through eBay.

I get 40hwy and 45+ with street driving got an 07 Prius with +2xx,xxx with nexcell swap. Before swap I’d get 37hwy and 40 street driving

Acceleration feels a lot better and you can have the A/C blasting with out the engine kicking in

@@TheEToE I have the same car (07 prius). I am averaging 40mpg now. I hear it ranges from 5-10mpg difference depending on how much city/hwy. I got 47mpg going from Chico to Sacramento this week. Average speed about 65mph.

I believe that you should be getting over 50mpg. It means that your Spark plugs resistance needs calibrating or you need new ones. To calibrate, disconnect the 12V battery connection for 5 mins, then reconnect. Check the MPG after 10 driving sessions to see if there improvements. If not, try again up to 9 more disconnects.
