@@bilalmehmood2557 i tried the ideapad 5 pro 14 inch with 5800u. Great performance but i ended up returning it. I thought the trackpad felt laggy and not so smooth to the touch. The keyboard was god however. The speakers was pretty bad as well, and the fans loud during load. (I had the 5800U, 16gig ram, 90hz 2800x1800 matt display 400nits) I compered it to the yoga slim 7 pro. (Cost 100$ more regular) but were on sale for the same price. Is was all around much nicer to use. Better keyboard, trackpad, speakers. Only downside is the lacking of ports and that it has a glossy instead of matt display. But i would still recommend the yoga first. Worth 100$ more if you can afford it.

6ghz is meant for indoor usage only. You can still get excellent speeds on wifi 5 on the 5ghz band which has better range, especially for your intranet file sharing needs, if your router supports that speed.

After about 30 seconds of you I wanted to punch myself in the temple. The pain was a welcome reprieve. Afterwards, I realized I had failed to "smash" the stop button and this made me feel very disappointed in myself. This in turn sparked a powerful lust for whiskey which I satisfied with Wild Turkey 101. Soon after, I found myself caught in a violent feud with my dog. I was forced to kick it in the stomach several times. It attempted to fight back but after a few days of no food it submitted to reason. In closing, the world is worse off now because of your video.

You should try switching that second router from mesh to just a bridge. Hook your laptop up using Ethernet and testing it. I am curious what your speeds would be if the second router is not worried about acting as a repeater. Just a thought, I do this with my desktop instead of using an internal Wi-Fi card

Great video. ASUS makes very good routers but lets get to the point. Will you recommend an ASUS ROG Rapture GT-AXE16000 or the Netgear AXE11000 WiFi Router (RAXE500)??? Not planning to connect multiple routers. Just one router for a 3500 sqf house with 3 levels ( basement/main/2nd) and router will be located in main floor. Ethernet connection is coming from outside so no ISP modem needed. Easy to manage, parental controls and hopefully easy to manage from phone app internally and externally. I will much appreciate your recommendation.

While these are great routers, they are intended for single use setup, which is not a good reason the consider the raxe500. For mesh, the orbi 936 from netgear would be better and beat both of these. From what I saw the Asus and netgear perform similar with a slight edge to the netgear.

I just got a brand new wifi 6 router the tp link ax73 for 249 aud. Absolute steal for the price, much better than my old wifi 5 router. I think for most people, the routers reviewed in this video are extremely overkill and too expensive for them to consider. Something like what I got is in the budget of most people and unless you bought all your devices within the past 2-3 years, they may not even support wifi 6 so the reason to upgrade is even less. Maybe a wifi 6 router overview is what you should be showing.

You should not have to disconnect // reconnect a device for it to swap between WIFI Nodes. It's called "roaming" and should be automatically negotiated between your device and your mesh network. Ultimately, roaming is dictated by the device, with or without active assistance from the mesh. Perhaps your device simply doesn't support wifi roaming, or has various options set in such a way as to effectively disable it. Several factors could contribute, I suppose, but it *SHOULD* be automatic. Otherwise, it's no different than managing multiple SSID via repeaters.
@brothatwasepic2 жыл бұрын
Hi Josh. I was wondering if you have any tricks to get your Samsung s__ to actually see the 6Ghz band SSID in its wifi list
@TerrifyingBird3 жыл бұрын
I see no reason to upgrade from my AVM setup. I still have mesh - which is the real game changer from old setups, IMO - wifi speeds are good, even if not breathtaking, and their update policy is flawless. (they update the router's firmware regularly! I know, crazy, right?)
@tofu_golem2 жыл бұрын
Multichannel SMB requires multiple Ethernet ports on both devices. I'm not sure that is worth it. At least with link aggregation, you can have two devices each getting a 1 Gbps connection to the NAS.
@uaeelectronics Жыл бұрын
Asus doesn't mention, what channels are supported on the router. Each region has different channel support. Asus is too strict with its implementation, where channels 141-161 may not be available to you for usage.

Josh, while I appreciate your reviews, I think you focused too much on bandwidth here and failed to mentioned anything else which is of interest: - You didn't talk about the other killer application for 6GHz which is latency - and how it competes in this front with Ethernet. Can gamers finally ditch the cable? - Also, I suspect 99% of people don't have anywhere near your 1Gbps internet connection (myself included). Is 6E any use for the rest of us?

@Fear.of.the.Dark.2 жыл бұрын
1gbps+ speed is where 6E is needed. you dont need it if you have 600mbps or lower speeds. Latency is good enough with Wifi 6 overall even on 5 Ghz network.
@devnull4122 Жыл бұрын
@@Fear.of.the.Dark. I tried out the ARRIS W6U for adding 6 GHz to my existing network. The range was horrible and the latency wasn't any better than 5 GHz was, which is around 1-3 ms most of the time with spikes to 120 ms which is annoying.
