Is there a wheel stand you would recommend for someone who can't sit low? I'm 6'5" and my DX racer chair sits relatively high. I'm using a wheelstand pro and would like something higher and preferably without the pole in the middle. Otherwise, I may go to the hardware store and buy a longer pole for the wheelstand. Thanks. Thought about it , but I think the rig would probably end up rotating around the wheel , I tried a DD wheel on another rig once and it bent the wheel mount out of shape lol.

you need the seat as well...i have the full setup. only problem i found was that the pedal plate was a bit flexible with a load cell brake so i use a piece of wood inbetween the pedal plate and frame...also whoever bolted mine togethe rounded off all the bolts which was not good :(. after fixing the probs its a beast rig with the seat :)

How the heck did you get that support bracket on? I tried and tried and could not get it snug. It just kept pushing away from the wheel. They need to put unthreaded guide holes in that thing!

You also forgot to mention how razor sharp and thin the pedal plate is and that you WILL lose a pint of blood assembling the pedals to the plate. Additionally... at a reasonable extention of the pedal plate. T3PA pedals flex so much due to the single hole mounting that it lifts the front and slams it down when you release the brake. All due to the 1mm thick pedal plate. oh and that's not to mention the 90degrer lip on the bottom of the plate which is razor sharp that if your not wearing shoes.. you will slash the shit out of your feet during gameplay... I had to mod the hell out of my wheelstand to make it safe to use!!! other than that.. it's nice when you get it finished and safe

DIY Rigs are often the best , you just need to know what you are doing / get instructions / have time / not have clump hands. I think 80/20 rigs are probably the best all round rigs , not the cheapest but you can get exactly what you want and all the materials are reusable.

4000+ cockpit's have the stability that these reviewers are used to. in terms of what they are saying this is like the 144hz wheelstand while most others are only 60hz. but a cokpit is the full 360hz. no wheel stand is 360hz

@@cheater00 my analogy is oddly specific I suppose. tried to answer your question from a year ago, but long story short a wheel stand can only be so sturdy. and this is probably peak performance. a full 4000$ cockpit tho is maximum sturdyness which makes wheel stands feel bad comparatively but not bad on their own right.

I'd have thought so , only thing is vertical flex due to the mount. This wheel stand is the front part of there full rig and they will expect that to work with all the consumer wheels. Best thing to do is ask people with FT wheels what they think :)

I ordered a cheapo Chinese one from Amazon (same form factor), but returned it after seeing how God awful wobbly it was. I spent an extra 100 and got the one in this video. I was immediately blow away by its stability. Also, it folds and is stable enough for me to bump into it a little now and then without falling over and killing my dog.

That pedal plate is far far better than the one on my GT Omega wheel stand. I am 5' 7" and I can not get my pedals and wheel setup comfortably. I am using a CPX adapter to connect my Fanatec CSR Elite pedals to my Thrustmaster TX . My problem is my short legs so the wheel is too close to me. It looks like I would be able to push the pedals much closer to me with that wheel stand so that I can stretch my arms more.

I'm 5'8" and I don't have that problem. I think all you would need to do is to try a different chair, maybe that helps. You can also just mount another metal or wooden plate to the one on your GT Omega Wheel Stand to fix the position of the pedals. If you have the tools and some basic knowledge you are just a few minutes away of fixing it.

Johnny Cage My problem is the 4" step at the bottom of the wheel base and then the quick release as they call it pushes the wheel even closer to me so My arms are bent too much. My chair does go low so thats not the problem. If I was using the original pedals that came with the wheel it wouldn't be a problem but with the pedal base on the CSR Elite pedals being longer and the holes for the hard mount for the pedals being further back for the fanatec pedals it means the Fanatec pedals are further back than the Thrustmaster pedals.

Johnny Cage I had the GT Omega for a little while and it wasn't very good at all. Not worth the half price you pay for it. Inner tubing was rusty, alignment was off and a ton of flex from the wheel mount. I've had the next level for a while now and quality is much better and it's much more stable. Totally worth the price paid. While not perfect and can't compare to a real rig for this type of folding stand I don't know of a better alternative.

Neither. I'd say the GT Omega Steering Wheel Stand is THE best solution if you don't want a whole cockpit. It's better than the Wheel Stand Pro plus a bit cheaper and A LOT cheaper than this Next Level Racing Wheel Stand - You could buy BOTH of the others for the price of it :-D

Mk - it's adjustable but of course it depends on your size and what chair you are sitting in. I'm 5'8" and when I'm sitting on my sofa it just fits perfectly. I don't say the Next Level Racing Wheel Stand is bad, I'm just saying it's expensive. Yes it is more stable than the GT Omega but but for the price of the Next Level one you can buy 2 GT Omegas or Wheel Stand Pro who both aren't the best in the world but both definitely the best low budget solutions.

The newer gt omega apex has no flex whatsoever up to 15nm of torque from a wheel its amazing and only 139.99 couldnt believe how stout and stiff it is rvetything feels so dma secire and literally no movement it will start wlaking before it flexes lol

Don't buy one of these they are rubbish. I purchased one about 2 years ago for my tm300. When i received it the build quality was awful. Threads not drilled through properly, everything very poorly fitting together & really tatty finish to it. It has barely held together & now is at the stage where the top end of it has almost completely come away & broken off. Its a decent design but these things are made like a terrible piece of cheap gym equipment. Worst thing is i contacted them regarding these issues & they have never responded. BTW im now in the market for a replacement preferably one that can take a DD wheel & higher end pedals as at some point i will be upgrading any recommendations.

+nrosko mine seemed finished to a good standard maybe they changed the manufacturing process over time ? Not sure what wheel stand would work with a DD wheel even full sized rigs can struggle with them lol. I use the simetik K2 cockpit with the SW20 and it works quite well.
