I truly admire athletes who own their actions on and off the field. Someone straight up dislocated my shoulder in the middle of a particularly heated game and made a point to apologize to me afterward. I got back in the pool but I was in rough shape and she knew it; I wasn't exactly happy in the moment lol but I appreciated her effort and it felt good to eventually leave the deck on good terms with everyone. There's a difference between playing hard and playing dirty, and I have a huge amount of respect for athletes/teams who maintain their integrity, whatever the sport.

I was captain of my hockey team in High School and remember a play where I was left wing in our zone. Stick was caught up in their right D's legs when I went to turn while we were clearing it. Dude said something like "wtf". I responded "you talking to me?" He didn't wanna respond so I assumed he was, then I said "My bad, my stick got caught up" while mid play. He sad "oh, ok". I was playing High School Football and I was on defense. A guy tried to hurdle me but I caught him when just instinctually slammed him to ground. I looked down and his knee cap had knocked out place pretty badly. It was a bit grotesque. I won't lie I cried for the guy. I never wanted to injury a guy. I would try to lay it in when I could but I never was dirty. I never found out how the guy was doing after that.

Uria85 I’m currently a high school player, a sophomore, but in 8th grade this kid tried juking my teammate, and I’m was a big 8th grader, being 6’0 180, but I went for the tackle and dived, hitting hit plant leg with my shoulder, ended up snapping his femur. An ambulance was called, and the other team forfeited the game being 3rd quarter and 13-0. Met the kid later in track season, he was healthy and all healed up, we competed in high jump. The fucker tied with me😂

Heard Joe T talk about the LT hit. Joe was laying up in his bed the following day and LT visited him in his hospital room. LT stuck his head in the room and said “Hey Joe”. The hit was legal though, right? Just checking because I don't watch enough football to be sure on blocking rules but it looked like it wasn't a blindside hit or anything, just savage delivery when Williams had his eyes toward the ball carrier 😬

@@LegacyFTW Unless you are deaf, just listen to the beginning of the clip and you can clearly hear the referee announcing the penalty. If you are deaf, turn on the closed captioning feature and you can read it.

these types of plays are always tough. you are taught to block hard and tackle hard... but intentionally going high for the head is just bush league. generally speaking, I don't like all these "defenseless" player rules... you gotta know as a receiver you are going to get hit, you gotta know as a defender that somebody on the field is assigned to block you... but yea... headhunting is always shitty
