NFL Global - World-Wide Expansion Proposal

It's finally here, isn't it? The moment we've all dreamed about: NFL Global!
Yes, the biggest league in the United States - and biggest in the world by revenue - is expanding from its current 32 team league to dominate all corners of the league and become a truly global league!
Focusing on regions where gridiron football is popular - plus very populated regions of the planet that could afford such a venture - I hypothesize what a dominating 112 team league would look like, right down to the playoff structure teams would have to follow - and beat - to win the Super Bowl...er, Grey Cup...er, Grey-Lombardi Cup Glo-Bowl!

North America- After 4 years competing with each other, the NFL and XFL agreed to merge together however the NFL only agrees to accept 5 teams, those teams are Portland Dragons, Salt Lake Guardians, OKC Roughnecks, San Antonio Renegades, and St. Louis BattleHawks. To keep the number of teams exactly 40, NFL give new 3 franchise to LFA teams, those teams are Mayas (Mexico City), Fundidores (Monterrey), and Condors (Guadalajara). Due to financial struggle, the CFL giving a proposal to NFL for a merger, this however give controversies and disapproval from Canadian Football fans, so to make the CFL fans happy, the NFL will still keeping CFL teams (including Quebec City Nationals a newly expansion team) as expansion for Canadian NFL team, but the CFL will keep continue for operations as feeder league for the NFL counterpart. South America- In 2040, the NFL are planning to expand to South America, to keeping good relations with soccer fans, the NFL give an expansion team ownership to most powerful soccer clubs in the country. This team are Lima Allianza (owned by Allianza Lima), Santiago Mapuche (Colo-Colo), Buenos Aires Jaguares (owned by both Boca and River Plate), Sao Paulo Paulista (Corinthians), and Rio de Janiero Regatas (Flamengo). Europe- In 2060, after expanding to whole American continent, the NFL return to expanding to Europe after more than 50 years, the NFL bring back their 9 former NFL Europe teams, after this teams gain severa, success campaign, the NFL add new teams across Europe, like South American strategy this new teams were owned by soccer or rugby teams, Belfast Ulsterman (Ulster rugby), Dublin Shamrocks (Leinster rugby), Glasgow Warriors (rugby team with a same name), Manchester Red Devils (Man United), London Blues (Chelsea FC), Lisbon Sporting (soccer club w/ same name), Madrid Blancos (Real Madrid), Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Lyon Olympique (OL), Monaco Royals (AS Monaco), Geneva Maroons (Servette FC), Zurich Cantons (FC zurich), Munich Bavarians (Bayern) Milan Athletics (AC Milan), Roma Spartans (AS Roma), Naples Azzuri (Napoli), Copenhagen Capitals (FC Copenhagen), Vienna Red Bulls (Red Bull Salzburg), Budapest Greens (Ferencvarosi), Gothenburg IFK, Stockholm AIK, Helsinki Jokerit (Jokerit Hockey Club), St. Petersburg Zenits (Zenit), Moscow Lokomotiv (Every Moscow based sport teams), Istanbul Black Eagles (Besiktas). Finally with 106 teams, the NFL merge with X-League an american football league based in Japan, Tokyo Hurricanes, Osaka Hawkeyes, Hiroshima Seagulls (previously based on Chiba), Kyoto Frontiers (relocated from Kawasaki), Sapporo Silver Stars (another team from Kawasaki that also relocated to current location), and Seoul Dynasties, a new team based in Korea to make the league even number of 112 teams. This is my theory even though sounds impossible and unrealistic 🤷‍♂️

Soccer should definitely look into something like this since it’s already a global sport , the nfl should do something like this though for an academy league type thing since they have nfl training stuff worldwide ,You should do a 20 team league proposal and see which big markets get teams how they would redraft those players whose team got cut etc, would be cool to see the new super teams .

Association football (a. k. a. soccer) already does this. Each FIFA afiliate has its own national championship (Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Brasileirão, Bundesliga, MLS, J-League...). The top clubs qualify for the continental tournament (UEFA Champions League, Copa Libertadores, Concachampions and the Champions Leagues from AFC, CAF and OFC ...). The winners compete in the FIFA Club World Cup

Like the music paired with this. So my thoughts are I would go to 40 domestic/US teams. I'm going St. Louis, Oakland, Portland, SLC, Chicago 2.0 (Staleys), Dallas 2.0 (Texans, bring back Houston Oilers), Oklahoma City, and then 1 of Austin/San Antonio plus moving the Chargers back to SD. I would give all 40 teams an international sister city. This would be slightly unfair due to travel but it works best to partner Toronto with the Bills, Vancouver Seahawks, and one of the Texas teams with Mexico City. Then the NYs get London and the California's get teams in Asia. 20 games, 14 US/6 international. Then when the league is ready to expand to 40 separate teams they can break off from their sister city.

India has 1.4 billion people and is definitely deserving of at least 3 teams. I'd replace Hiroshima, Singapore and Kyoto(Kyoto is really close to Tokyo) and give Mumbai, Delhi and Chennai teams). Also France and Italy doesn't need that many teams so they each give one up. And Germany could give up a team. The third French team goes to the Balkans, (probably Athens or Belgrade), the third Italian team goes to Dakar or Lagos and the 5th German team goes to Dubai or Abu Dhabi. There are a lot of holes in this especially the holes in Africa, the Arabian Peninsula, the Balkans and Indian subcontinent but overall, I'd really like to see this concept play out. This league would only want money and it would be drooling at the 2 billion South Asians and the rich Arabian Peninsula.

The NFL has not only been in the USA. They had European teams as somewhat of a Minor League back in the day. It folded because Europeans do not want American football on a season-long basis. They enjoy the one or two games a year they get that's all they can stomach.

Not counting the logistics and the other bullshit. Let's pretend it did work. We have a foreign team, it would take years to even get a resemblence on a professional team going. First you got the GM and the Coach, they don't know anything about the game and yea they can learn but the time for them to play and plan would take a unbearable amount of time and I don't think the people over there have enough patience to wait for a team to develope on a sport that they don't have the same vigor we in America have. And a very important part. Structure: One thing that America has is structure, a player and coach have to go through high School and collage to even be noticed, that would take decades and even hundreds of years to build up. Therefore my conclusion is that a worldwide NFL is a dream and that football will always be an American sport, yea we may get a few quickly put together teams here and there but they will be made up of old players that don't preform anymore or cut players that can't get on a roster and that will be a quite shit performance.
