If you want to know why Tolvanen isn't producing at an elite rate, there's why : to start, even if his shooting category is off the chart, he doesn't shoot a lot. Just compare his number of shots vs. McMuffin. They almost have the same amount while McMuffin is playing on your 3rd line. Usually, a pure sniper has around 250-300 shots, if not more, in a complete season. So, that tells you Tolvanen isn't a pure sniper (much more a playmaker/hybrid player, which is very common for a sniper created by EA vs. a generated one). Also, his offensive awareness is *LOW*. Typically, you want your top offensive players to have an off. awareness above their overall, or even. And finally, Tolvanen doesn't fit your scheme at all. If I was you, I would trade him ASAP, maybe in a package for Michkov because like I said, created players shoots a lot more, so scores more.

Agreed tolvanen is completely different from Zion which makes it impossible to get a +5

@@DeezNuts-tq8zm Exactly. Plus, to have a +5, you need to make a trio of Power Forward-Playmaker-Sniper or a line of 3 Grinders that fit your scheme. EA just doesn't like Two-Way Forwards. So if I'm Xtech, Schmaltz and Kapanen are gone. Finally, may I add that having two +3 is better than one +1 and one +5, but hey that's just me.

@@oughtopilot Well Zion is fine on the top line, he has 3 green checkmarks, so it's good. Also, I said to trade for Michkov since Xtech seems to like him a lot, but really anyone 85 overall or higher with a good shot and a good off. awareness will do the job if he fits the scheme. For exemple, I once had a 1st line of Van Riemsdyk (84 overall) - Krebs (82 overall) - Hornqvist (83 overall) (+5 chemistry) in one of my franchise modes, and they all finished with over a point per game, Hornqvist with 51 goals and Krebs ended up being a 88 after that season. So really, nothing crazy as for players, but an insane chemistry did the job. And for the memes, I signed just before that season Krebs to a 8 years, 2.525 M$ per knowing he would tear up with those guys. Ended up being a bargain haha.

You should look at getting a better backup goalie, Hill is really struggling. 3 wins in 15 starts is really detrimental to the team. Maybe look for a veteran around the 84 rating mark. Also, consider swapping McMuffin and Tolvanen in the lineup

Looks like there is a good shot at a +5 in the first line with roach and mcmuffin, just need a good fitting playmaker with them, your franchise/elite players can still play in the 2nd line with first line powerplay, might just grow your players to be two lines with 90+ ovr

With the Hamilton trade you messed up because Addison was fully discovered and it said it doesn’t fit 5 on 5, if you want to make trades and expect chemistry boosts you have to ensure they fit your coach

The next few seasons looks extremely bright for that forward group. With Bellows breaking out, a top six of Bertuzzi - Wright - Tolvanen Bellows - Wennberg - McMuffin Is gonna be insane if you can get the right coach, not to mention some great young pieces for the bottom 6 like Roach and Huckins. Being a Minnesota fan, Greenway has been having one heck of a season. Maybe not points wise but he’s playing amazing. Along with that; I don’t think the Wild would be down to trade Addison as we don’t really have any other top end D prospects just yet. But that’s why it’s a video game! Love the videos as always X.

i think wright should play on the 3rd line for this season and have shmaltz on the first line to finish this year off. His 2-way ability will help the team defensively since the 1st line gets most of the minutes. Maybe at the draft or at free agency think of trading shmaltz and try picking up a 3rd line center in free agency. If wright grows to 84 he should be decent on the 1st line next season, but if you don't want to rush him too much you can look for a 86+ playmaking center for 1 year

A couple of things I have to say, After this year give headman the C, he is a D man out performing everyone on the team.He has proved himself as Captain material. And I think you might just have to wait it out for some of the prospects,McMuffin and others to need to just get playing time to improve and become superstars.

When you look at signing or trading for players, you need to look and see what scheme they fit in for your coach to know how the chemistry may look. In the case of Calen Addison, it said he only fits in the penalty killing lines, so when you put him on a pair with Zadorov it was only a 0 for chemistry. It doesn't matter if you get an offensive or defensive dman together if they don't fit the scheme of the coach.

Would be interesting to see what's available at least. For the defensive core, I really like Zadarov but how would the chemistry with Hamilton look if you use him as a 7th D? Maybe making a move for extra depth is a route worth exploring instead of trading him away?

You have to look at Zadorov’s and Addison’s line fits, doesn’t look like either of them fit onthe 3rd line. Click the right analog stick then scroll down to see line fits.

Also I’m saying this before knowing what happens (if anything) later in the video, but shelling out Hamilton does nothing to help with more cap for next year. His contracts expiring at the end of the season anyway. Yes it makes sense to trade him rather than lose him for nothing, but also realize Parayko doesn’t want an extension, so I don’t really know what to do with your defense, not gonna lie.

If I were in your shoes I would be looking for new head coach to bump that chemistry up especially on your first line. Eli Tolvanen's line chem doesn't fit very well and if he's your long term first liner you should find a coach who likes him.

I find sometime your dint have the best grasp of the player chemistry and how to use it to your advantage, it 2bc has a good video for chemistry to help understand, cause you could get Burtizzi producing better than Kazov with the right coach and players

I hate to tell you this but I went back to your previous episode to look at Shane Wrights line fits for this coach and you will never get anything better then a +1 on ANY line with Wright on it or firing and replacing your coach again. The problem lies with Zion. He's not a fit with offensive coaching styles. So I think you have 2 options. One, build around zion and this coach but you'll need to shift to a defensive team by going PWF, TWF and grinders up front and trading wright and most of your snipers. Two, change the coach to fit Wright and trade Zion for another PWF that fits with the new coach. Right now your trying to build around a player built for a defensive scheme and a defensive coach surrounded by offensive players.

Think you definitely lost the Hamilton trade. Should of picked up parise, his value was super low and you could of got more if you got him instead of Zuc. Plus you would probably have a lot of cap space in 2026, which is Parise’s final year. However, you Should just trade Zuc with 50% ret and ‘buy’ a draft draft pick. Your coach is the problem for that third defensive pairing. Unfortunately you got the cursed Hold the Line for the scheme. That's what I would be focusing on trying to find a new head coach that has almost identical offensive scheme fits but Focus that defense to make you're not rocking any Hold the Line
