Getting 56 shots against is inexcusable. As a flames fan, this game didn't even make me mad, Our entire team hasn't been playing much of a team unit. Not making clean breakout passes, playing too much in the D-Zone, relying on smith too much, giving up on plays at times, and just simply not playing enough in the O-zone. Taking brutal penalties and making brutal turnovers. We really need a wake up call. Been playing like garbage the past couple of games.

If the Flames contain Mackinnon, that's game. He's really been the greatest threat. Not to be meant as an excuse, but the officiating was very inconsistent against both teams all night. Monahan held against the boards away from the play for 10 seconds without a call, followed by a really weak tripping call.

Lots of roughing, misconduct and unsportsmanlike penalties cause the refs kept helping the linesman in the scrums. Lots of those could’ve been fights. If they would’ve let them fight it could’ve been over and gone on with the game🤦🏼‍♂️ But for some reason officials now think breaking up every scrum is gonna help the game go on and prevent injury. That’s pretty crappy logic to me smh. Players get more mad when they can’t get at another. But as far as the offense it was very good game for the Avs.

Even play in the NHL before being in playoffs so Colorado sorta broke the rules on this, Also Bettman allowed it so I doubt any Canadian team will ever win Stanly. When NHL is now being rigged for USA teams. Also why cannot Calgary sign a player and put him in the playoffs after all he never played in the NHL I think it would be a good fit for Flames to have a newly Signed player now from the minor leagues or prospect.

No team is allowed to sign and play a player from minor leagues or College, With out having a single NHL season game that's the rules. Go read them and they must be over 18 or 19 one of the two. Also that is what a trade deadline is and still he must have one game of the season in the NHL. Rookies are consider players with less than 10 games its all on the NHL site you should know this if your a NHL fan.
