I did not expect to be saying this, but the Capitals need to give more ice time to Anthony Mantha. The CMM-Protas-Mantha line has looked very good, and replacing CMM with Lapierre didn't cause them to drop off. That line needs to be on the ice more often.

Also all the well known core players can’t score but the newbies can. And somehow their throwaway goalie they got is their best goalie. They are better than expected and yet feels like a struggling team. It’s like both a miracle and a depressing problem at the same time. Very strange year

@@morrisalanisette9067 The league overall just feels odd this season. I mean, the Flyers are 2nd and Islanders 3rd in metro. The Canucks are 2nd in the league 1 point behind Knights. Oilers are a hot-and-cold mess. Avs locker room issues. Sabres and Sens underperforming like crazy... I have no idea what's going on.

With new HC Carbery the Caps are a much better team in terms of overall structure compared to last season. If old coach Laviolette was still around, the Caps would be near the bottom of the league but Ovi would probably have more goals than he does now since we all know how Laviolette obsessed over playing the veterans over the young guns.

It’s sad to me how people aren’t aware that ovi is the most dynamic player to ever score. He scored in every possible way. In ways nobody has ever seen before. He scored one time from hitting Hal Gil into the net. From his back, from his ass . One handed goals. Really everything. It’s not even close! Most Gretzky goals are skating down and doing a slap shot. Not to take anything from the great one but it’s just unfair to ovi
