Truly a fascinating comeback from behind victory from the Maple Leafs, including 4 brilliant goals within 6 minutes apart in the 2nd to give them the lead going into the 3rd @ home against Edmonton! The total endurance displayed which proved to be the difference!! Your goalie doesn't always have to show his best effort for a victory! Teammates behind him are doing the job necessary! Marner capitalized on the most important plays he needed to make, in order to set his teammates up including Matthew's on that powerplay in the 3rd. Super exciting finish for Leafs fans!

Nylander goal is a perfect example about what teams have been doing with Matthews this year. Edm D followed Matthews towards the corner instead of staying in the middle, leaving Nylander a clear path to continune his career year. Matthews production is down this year for a reason, but it's not because he's lost any skill

Don't get me wrong, the Oilers did not deserve to win this game with all the defensive mistakes they made, but good god! I've never seen so many coincidental minors in my life! The refs absolutely deserve to be out of a job after today. So many missed calls and the worst part about the coincidental minors, is that most of the 1st penalties happened before they raised their hand, so they KNEW that there was a penalty but just chose not to call it until they retaliated back. Absolute terrible reffing for both sides, the NHL should be embarrassed at this stage.

@@LeafsNet2 Did I say the refs lost the Oilers this game? Absolutely not, did I say the Oilers lost because of bad defensive mistakes absolutely! Did I say the reffing was embarrassing, absolutely! If you can't see this, you're choosing not too, if it was the other way around, you'd be crying about how the refs lost you this game.

I completely agree. They called penalties that shouldn't have been and not called some that should have been. They were a mess for both sides. I'm glad the Leafs won but the refs were horrible, yet again.
