I'll be honest about the JJK pervy/fan service. I didn't notice it as much as Danny. When I've dropped series for those aspects, but JJK feels so mild compared to other shows I've seen. I can't tell if Danny is just doubling down anytime it is brought up as example. But why not other series, examples? Chainsaw Man was more blantant to me with Deji's motivation to touch boobs. One Piece is my favorite series, but Sanji has had many issues that still needs growth. Naruto does sexy-no-jutsu and Jiraiya is total perv that writes explicit novels, that Kakshi reads! I tried to pick examples that I think Danny might have seen in some capacity. I still new to watching this podcast. An separate example I have is my first anime was Inuyasha. Miroku, one of the main group, greets women asking them to bear his children.

Just gonna put out here that the pervy parts Danny cites from JJK are only in the anime. I have the physical manga. I flipped through them and looked and while the scene itself is there the groping is not. So the author has succeeded for the most part in that goal, and it is Mappa alone that created the pervyness

I love one piece and that’s honestly a good comparison, I think it’s because I don’t like the characters in demon slayer maybe, like they don’t have a Sanji or a Zoro or anything as compelling, at least to me. Does anybody else think that if Kakashi had told Sasuke about Rin and Obito that it would have at least given him another perspective? Cause when sasuke said oh how about i kill everybody you love and kakashi said well hate to break it to you but theyre already dead, sasuke was clearly shook. I just think that if kakashi had told sasuke his story since he clearly favors him then sasuke would have seen that even though kakashi lost everybody that was important to him he's still in the village. Granted their situations are vastly different though
