I lost a dear friend in 2020, not due to COVID, and we're finally going to get closer this month. We both listened to Nickelback along with other bands but this song really reminds me of both of us being in our teens and twenties. I really miss him even though we were not as close of friends near the end of his life that I didn't know was coming but still. Totally understand. I'm 47 now and my Dad died when I was 21. My Mother is still alive and healthy but when he died she sold my childhood home because it was too big for her to be in alone and the memories. I still drive by it a few times a year and when no one is living in it I get out and walk around the area. I probably look like a burglar but don't care. Someone called the police on me once when I did that and when the cop arrived I was crying like a little bitch. He asked me what was wrong and I told him that it was where I grew up. He understood and left me alone.
