I remember One of the black girls in this movie (i think it was the girl who was always falling and hurting herself during spectacular's performances). Made a tiktok about the movie because people were asking her to talk about it and said she wouldnt recommend people to watch it and she didnt have the best time filming that movie because she experienced a lot of microagressions on set.

I've seen this on TV a few times doing the occasional guest role, a couple episodes of Arrow and that stupid Truth or Dare movie. It's like literally everything I've seen him in he's some smug douchey fratboy type. Now I have not watched Glee past halfway through season 1 but I'm assuming with a name as pretentious sounding as Hunter Clarington that role didn't buck the trend.

In my opinion I would say nicks response to High School Musical was actually the movie American Mall. There's even a scene like the rooftop scene from HSM3, but I get how this movie is similar as well. Spectacular! honestly makes me think they made this is response to Glee's success. Mostly because it's set around a show choir.

this was one of my favorite movies. i bought the dvd, and the cd soundtrack. the moment when he raises from the platform and the bomb-omb goes off and he goes “YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH” and they start singing “u give me SMTHN TO BELIEVE IN” that moment had me scream sobbing as an 11 year old

You know, to be honest, as bootlegs and movies taken from inspiration of other movies go, this isn't actually as bad as I first thought it was going to be, especially for an early 2000s movie. I feel like they really owned the inspiration but also made it more unique and there wasn't many plot holes (except for the girl who believed in big foot and the mystery of where the hell the rocker guy's parents are). Music also sounded pretty good, and that's my opinion.
