@@russcooke5671 I am not on YT showing what I do. I am on quite a few of "A Foreigner in the Philippines" (search Kerry when on that channel), but my history was building race, rally, speedway cars & also performing left to right hand drive conversions on imported cars. I was a teacher of panelbeating (body work for the US folk) in N.S.W. Australia for 13 years. I then moved to California for 11 years completing restoration work on pre & post WWII cars. I also built hot rods & custom cars & trucks. Now back in Australia basically retired but doing a lot of "hand forming" of car & bike panels no longer readily available. Yes I have an English Wheel, along with a shop full of the necessary tools & equipment that is required for this kind of work. One of the good YT channels is "Make It Kustom" & for a young bloke, Karl is talented and shows a lot of ways of doing things with basic tools. That is something I used to teach my night classes (hobby class) after showing & demonstrating all the equipment the college had, was then to show the class how to do the same at home with basic gear.

It is a tube chassis car. It is very very good at passager protection. It is superior aproach to anything mass produced. Downside of design is, in general, lack of usable space. I am very thankful to KZbin's algorithm to make me stumble into this amazing story. Thankful for Nicole and her team to have produced this video. And specially, very thankful to Kris Heil for having produced this precious beauty in his golden years and to make a dream came true. After being questioned why he wants to sell his Daedalus, Kris replies: "I am a builder not a collector". But I tell you this, Kris: you are living evidence that one can achieve his/hers dreams, no matter how old one is. And, perhaps, this is the most valuable lesson one can take from your creation. To dare to create, to dare to live life at its fullest, with a true and meaningful sense of Life. What an inspiration! Wow! A final sweet note for Kris’ wife (Cindy?) who, as @Nicolas Ruvalcaba correctly pointed out, has a great deal of credit. Cindy and Kris both bring an inspiring example of what Love really is (or should be), which reminds me a Erich Fromm’s line of what Love is about: "In love the paradox occurs that two beings become one and yet remain two”. Thank you! PS - did you notice the feedback this video got from the audience? 3.600 replies out of 13.000 likes, that makes probably the highest KZbin interaction rate ever. Well done!

Some of the views are among the best in the world. On one occasion I stayed in a tiny motel at a place called Lucia, about half way through Big Sur. It was right on the edge between the road and a sheer drop into the Pacific. It had little cabins with decks and getting up in the morning I sat on the deck with a coffee and just looked at the view.

This man deserves immense credit for his knowledge, skill, creativity and persistence in the face of adversity. He is living proof no matter what problem life throws you a true indication of your character is how you choose to respond to it. His humility allowed him see the hit and run crash not just as a tragedy but rather an opportunity to refine the original design and make it better which is yet more proof he's truly a class act!

Chris isn't just a fabricator designer, engineer etc he is pure artist. The Dadalous is one of the most beautiful cars ever made. The body lines and subtleties he incorporated show his artistry and his love of design. I hope we all get a chance to see his next creation. With everything he has learned the next one should be fabulous. Barrett Jackson auctioneers would have a field day with this one and it surely would finance his next creation with alot in reserve. Thanks for sharing!

What an honor to be able to see such a wonderful creation, especially through the always thoughtful, insightful, and thoroughly enjoyable Nicole Johnson viewpoint! Kris built a car cobbled out of the dreams of everyone who grew up admiring the wonderful sports cars of the 1950's and early 1960's. But he built it so much better! I first learned to drive in a Jaguar XK-150 - when it would run... The Daedalus is so much more! Thank you Nicole!!!

Wow. Just wow. It is so inspiring to someone accomplish this. I was at first awestruck by the design, execution and classic beauty of the car. However, after listening to the joy Kris obviously had building it had me smiling through the entire video. Well done eliciting that Nicole!

That is completely amazing! I have often thought of making a full custom one of a kind car- and I can almost picture it- but it eludes me. This car is in that same vein- except it is here! I also have to say Nicole, that your show is extremely well produced, and very professional. Never boring. I have striven in my show to make it better than average, but yours is excellent. Top notch.
