Excellent demonstration and explanation of all the muscles and trigger points which helps me to better concentrate on the correct muscles to work on for sciatic pain. Thank you so much for being so thorough and love the drawing gives me a better perspective of how muscles are connected

I had a massive erector spinae trigger point. During a pull-up, I felt a spasm/shift in my back I thought I severely tore a muscle, but there was no pain. A few hrs later I had the weirdest pain in the side of my stomach and even in the front of my ribs (just where the false ribs are). It didn't go away for 2 weeks, so I saw a doctor, she palpated the rib area on the front of my stomach and it was super painful, she thought I had pancreatic so I got sent to have an urgent CT scan of the abdomen + pelvis. Everything came out all clear, and I'm stuck with this weird almost debilitating pain in the side + front of my ribs. I couldn't turn over in bed, I couldn't bend over on all 4s, I couldn't do anything, not even drive, because twisting hurt. Finally, after 3 weeks, I got extremely frustrated and thought I would just massage everything I could with a lacrosse ball. I instinctively massaged this area you showed in the video without knowing much about these muscles. The pain I experienced was something out of this world. I have a high pain tolerance, but this pain was about a 10/10. It made me sweat and shake. Right after I massaged it, the symptoms I experienced slowly disappeared. My ribs no longer hurt (Referred pain is weird af! because I would touch that area and it would hurt! but nothing was wrong with my ribs (CT Scan came back all clear). Everything slowly went away. I had to wait 48hrs to massage again because the initial massage made it extremely sore. Now, after about a week of massages, I'm largely symptom free!

Hubby and I have been suffering and massaging each other on this point for 2 years now..he tried Kinesiology without success. Don't know the real solution to this chronic permanent pain. Hospital said it was because the muscles got entangled seriously.. don't even know if that's true😢 I wish we could be free from this pain.

I think this is what is giving me incredible tight mid back pain. All the way from my upper back to my low back and i feel it referring to my si joint which ia dysfunctional. I also gave psoas dysfunction. My tva isnt strong at all. So my my other back myscles have to be recruited. And i learned the abs go all the way up to the upper back! I didnt know that! That explains so mich about all my back and si joint dysfunction. The other thing is I have had and still have some fibrous tissue on those areas and I think some of that is my fault for using ice. I think ice is not my friend. It's not helping the spasms. It's making it worse. It's probably developing these fibrous tissue on the spine! That's my pain! So I'm wondering if the fibrous tissue and the erector spinae are related, as I'm having pain from my upper back to my low back and si joint ofc. It's all starting to make sense. I feel it right next to the spine. I've had acupuncture treatment and it hurt like hell and I never asked an acupuncturist to take out a needle but I had to for this. It was the worst pain I've ever felt. I cant handle acu on those spots next to the spine. It's a 12/10 pain. I need other ways to get it out.

We are sorry to hear about your pain. It sounds challenging. For tightness in the erector spinae, try gentle stretching, foam rolling, and specific exercises to strengthen your core and TVA. Heat therapy might be more beneficial than ice for your muscle spasms. Fibrous tissue can indeed contribute to your discomfort, so consider myofascial release techniques or massage. Always consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice. Wishing you relief soon! 😊

Are you sure Dr? I’ve pressed my own trigger points and layed on balls but it doesn’t cure it. Either trigger point acc. Or the massage gun. Well I will try it again tonight thank you
