Have some of these UKIP supporters never seen HIGNFY before. They mock EVERYONE get over yourselves and stop thinking that your party should be free from mockery. If they were mocking Lab/Con/Lib you'd be laughing but oh how dare they attack Nigel. Accept that like other parties there is a lot to mock about UKIP and these criticisms they give are very valid they are not bias or irrational at all. It is incredibly hypocritical and illogical that he doesn't want foreigners taking British jobs yet his wife is German and has a British job.

I am a UKIP member and to be honest, I have seen this show abuse many political parties over the years. UKIP has been at the forefront recently but that is only because of progress through the polls. Taking offence at comedic show based around politics is pretty pointless. I must say, I find it interesting that Paul Merton doesn't really get involved with the UKIP jokes as much as he does with other parties. Little tip about the media, any outside organisation which is different to their own will be ridiculed and harassed, just how it is. Until that organisation becomes the norm expect this behaviour. We are all guilty of ridiculing something we do not perceive to be right before we understand it's messages.

Many references in posts here to the UK joining the EU. Well, it didn't. The UK joined the European Economic Community (EEC) which, as the name suggests, was a tariff-free and duty-free trading zone and it made good sense to join. As a result, the UK went from having one of the weakest economies in Europe (up to the mid 70s) to one the strongest within a few years. It was the subsequent 'evolution' from a free-trading arrangement to relinquishing more and more governmental-type control to 'Europe' that became the step too far for some.

Michael Yeovil dont worry years later, and today I know almost no one with tv license anymore :) BBC and co are history and only the older generations will be fuming at their boxes for it's last days. Internet and social media is the next propaganda worries, and the biased BBC news will trickle over their agenda to crap like Facebook, which thankfully again I don't know many people these days who use that either:) As people continue waking up, propaganda will keep slipping it's grip, until those funding it need to change their tactics drastically... and sadly, they will. Once corruption is in a position of high authority, they aren't going to just give that up in the name of democracy. This is why since the early war days, since radio, newspapers, etc, political thinking has been absolutely conditioned on a consistent basis at every given oppourtunity.

Probably because his boss didn't tell him too. He's an interviewer not a reporter, so he doesn't search for his own stories - instead he's given his pre-organised assignments by the upper echelons. My guess would be that they'd send a more Labour type to grill the tories and a more Tory type to grill the labourites in order to avoid any leanings, objective though interviewers must strive to be.
