This video will hopefully assist you in choosing the right tool to suit you and your style of stitching.
Due to its size and to make it easier to find the iron you want to see, it has been broken down into a number of parts.
In addition to this, you can download the specification sheet from. www.armitageleather.com

Thanks so much for this. Been doing loads of research before shelling out for some irons. Had seen Kevin Lee and wondered - your video convinced me. Bought a set yesterday - can't wait to get them. Thank you for sharing

Wow, 20 videos in the books on irons! Nigel, this information is invaluable. You cover everything one needs in order to make an informed decision. What more could anyone ask?

I just bought the 2,7 2+8 KS pricking irons you tested. Thank you very much for your videos, they helped me a lot on my journey. Cheers from Germany

I started with his 5mm black irons and now have his 3mm French irons. I’m mostly using JJ size 004 irons and 0.4-0.45 mm thread with good results. Fair price and he is easy to communicate and work with. Shipping is fairly quick 7-14days and reasonable price to the US. Glad to see your review and findings similar to my experience.

I just purchased a set of 3mm from him last week and couldn’t find any good reviews. I came across your other pricking iron reviews and was really hoping you’d do a review of Kevin’s. Thank you!

I picked up a set of Kevin Lee’s Basic French Irons, which are an even more affordable option. I like the look of a diamond chisel hole and wanted to try a pricking iron style without investing much. They are much smaller than these but work great.

Just picked up the Pricking Iron (French Style), 2 and 8 tooth. Cost me $90 which is half the price of KS Blade and the holes left are half the size of KS. Highly recommend these.

They are made from D2 steel which is very good. Can rust if not oiled but the high polish helps it. Mine are from makers leather supply but literally look identical to these!

Please do a review on the 4Z pricking irons. I have them but want to know how they measure up to the more popular ones like Kevin Lee or Sinabroks,

@@chad206 I like them for like a few weeks. They get dull fast. Ended up getting crimson hides and they are amazing.

I have both and Crimsons produce more of a straight stitch. Kevins French irons produce the slant stitch. Both great quality.

@@hyethere no, means nicer, for me, like the blanchard, with 45degree, taller with diamond Awl, to not fragilise leather.
