The bridge between Sabaton and Nightwish is called Lucy & Freja, the two daughters of Floor and Hannes van Dahl (drummer of Sabaton), her husband. Listen to the video of "Christmas Truce", Floor is singing over the end credits. For "do a little softer", she didn't say that. She said, we'll START a little softer...

Interesting you mentioned Sabaton. Floor is married to Sabaton drummer Hannes Van Dahl, they have 2 girls and they met when Sabaton were touring the US as a support band to Nightwish. Evidently they shared a cigar and a glass of whisky in his dressing room and he was hooked. Incidentally, if you listen to Sabaton's Christmas Truce Floor is singing over the credits

Hannes said his bandmates got all excited that the Nightwish singer ( Floor) was there, and Hannes, did not understand why. He was so what. But when he met her, and later she invited him to join her having some whiskey and a cigar, he decided he had to marry this woman... He managed to convince her to do just that and join him on his remote rural "ranch" in Sweden.

Nightwish Army PA division here. Floor and Marko, they are the best female and Male vocalists in the world ! Sadly Marko left the band but Troy is doing a good job now. Nightwish are masters of transitioning in their songs. I`ve been listening to them for over 15 years and watch at least one concert every Saturday night and still get goosebumps every time. Watched this concert on BluRay last week, tonight i`m watching Tampere concert .

Hello I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have 2 daughters (Freja & Lucy) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. The harmonies between Floor and Marko are extraordinary. Two such accomplished and very different singers in the same band, able to blend their voices in such unique ways. Marko is such a powerful singer in his own right. The tribute to Pink Floyd's song "High Hopes" is a great example of just what he can do. Not to mention Emppu's guitar work in that song and the strength of the backing from both Jukka on drums and Tuomas on keyboard.

The double-time/key change section at the end gets everyone (and got me in the album version waaaay back when), but having listened to a bunch of these reactions now, I think what gets me is when Tuomas kicks the synth strings in during the final buildup. I'm a total sucker for a theme returning, stronger and more intense, then building into wherever the resolution goes. I also thoroughly appreciate when a song knows to get the f out of Dodge and just end! Singer finishes the last chorus, guitarist flourishes for a bar or so, big strike, OUT.

The odd thing about the dynamic between Floor and Marko's vocals is that although they sing in perfect harmony there is a dissonance in the textures of their voices that just seems to work so well.

" Ever Dream " is the sixth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Released as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, Century Child, it was the group's first single in two years, following " Deep Silent Complete " in 2000. The song is more operatic in nature than later works and the music itself is more on the heavy metal side. It is still played live since 2002 until today.
