A couple of us metal fans gave Imaginaerum a try on KZbin in 2012 and gave it a pass. Year and a half ago, I stumbled across Nightwish again and had pandemic time to give them another try - didn’t know about the whole singer history but one listen to Floor and my music life changed!

I never have time to come watch the streams live anymore, but it's great that I can eventually catch these reactions on here anyway. There aren't that many Nightwish songs that show off Floor's phenomenal low range (for a soprano), but this is one that certainly does, and that's why it's one of my favourites from Wacken 2013.

One thing I didn't get initially is why, during the chorus, Floor is pointing at herself and smiling manically, until I realised the lyric is, "smiling like a clown until the show has come to an end", and she is acting out the line. That is an example of her storytelling and having fun while telling that story.

There's more songs where Floor acts out parts of the lyrics. Alpenglow for example when "close your eyes and take a peek" comes by during the song. One of the first things I look at as I soon realised this is something she does. And now I'm thinking of it, around the one minute mark of Romanticide at Wacken, she gets up and almost tip toes after singing " hang me high". Always seen it, never realised untill now.

Incredibly powerful. Marco and Floor are so good together. I hope Marco returns to Nightwish. The last part where they intentionally play a little "out of key" is great (have no idea what it's called), but it's great. The synchronized pyrotechnics to sit is also fantastic.

As i said great song for me, Marco and Floor - that is the best Duo (for me, at least in metal/rock). i estimate that Floor appreciate Marco as a singer and his integration in different songs of her much more than Tarja. To be fair: Phantom with Tarja and Marco was a banger. Tarja was much more a diva, something Floor is far away what is essential part why we love her. She is very humble. Her similing is incredible nice as well as her "thank you" at the end of the songs.

None of the mentioned ladies are capaple of doing a decent metall vocal. They have all good voices but sings boring stuff. And with often to much drama in their singing which make it even worse. Tarja goes into same category. Drama queen with drama voice and way of singing always. Thats why i did not like Nightwish untill she left.
