My thoughts on the song: Nightwish new song so many people seem to not like it but i love it. it so beautiful and it makes me feel like that if i was having a bad day this would lift my spirit up. nightwish you have not disappoint me. this is a very lovely and great song to listen to and i would recommend it to any other fan or those who like this type of song. Not all songs need to be powerful to be good. Idk why there people leaving bad comment but i feel this is a great song. I have listen to there other songs in the past and i love this song as much as the other. as long it good i fine with it.

Después de haber despedido a Tarja, icono y joya de este grupo no ha sido tarea fácil a Nightwish sustituirla. Anette Olzon y el album Dark Passion Play son un gran esfuerzo, pero en los conciertos algunos de sus clásicos de su repertorio quedan fuera del alcance de Anette, posteriormente llega Imaginaerum y aunque tiene buenos momentos, es inferior en calidad y aceptación en relación al trabajo promedio de la banda. Por lo mismo tal vez debido a la gran presión que debió existir, Anette se enferma, explota y sale del grupo a media gira encontrándose Nightwish en la peor crisis de su historia y en picada. De repente y literalmente como Ángel caído del cielo llega a rescatarlos esta mujer increíble. Para los que somos seguidores del Prog Metal, Floor Jansen no es ninguna desconocida. Esta cantante/autora con talento, voz y belleza impresionantes no se formo de la noche a la mañana. El grupo que la vio nacer, After Forever, es contemporáneo de Nightwish y desde que formo parte de este grupo en 1997 ya era notable la gran potencia de su voz. De esta época recomiendo ver el video de Floor con After Forever la canción Energize Me. Esto lo noto el genio del Prog Metal Sinfónico Arjen Lucassen y la llamo para formar parte de los proyectos Ayreon y Star One, Con este curriculum Nightwish la llama para salvar el resto de la gira. Les sugiero que vean el video del concierto Live at Wacken Open Air 2013. Floor no solamente se acopla inmediatamente al grupo como anillo al dedo, comienza a cantar canciones de la era de Tarja y que estaban fuera del alcance de Annette y, lo más difícil, imprimiéndole su propio estilo menos gótico pero mas estilo Prog metal sin copiarla, desaparecen la tensión y la inseguridad que se percibía en el ultimo concierto de despedida con Tarja. Para los que dudan aun que tenga la potencia de voz de Tarja escuchen con atención su versión de Ghost Love Score. Todo lo anterior junto a la sencillez de esta chica seguramente fueron lo que conquistó a la banda. He estado escuchando el nuevo álbum Endless Forms.. y puedo asegurarles que es uno de los regresos más espectaculares que jamás haya visto. Encuentro un album sólido, un Toumas inspirado, perfectamente equilibrado, con una producción impresionante. Regresa el Nightwish de Prog Metal Sinfónico de primera calidad como Shudder Before the Beautiful, Yours is an Empty Hope y Endless Forms Most Beautful y sobre todo el nuevo Highlight de Nightwish y el Prog Metal Sinfónico, la impresionante Weak Fantasy donde Nightwish que algunos ya daban por muerto surge como un coloso despertando, toda la banda espectacular con Floor mas que excelente. Y que decir acerca de la épica The Greatest Show On The Earth de 24 min sin precedente en la historia de este grupazo. Elan es una buena canción pero todas las anteriores que mencione son mucho más agresivas y espectaculares. No se porque seleccionaron esta como primer videoclip, a veces es por decisión de la compañía discográfica ir por la más accesible a población general. En conclusión Endless Forms.. junto con Oceanborn son ya mis favoritos de Nightwish y mientras algunos viudos de Tarja siguen sin aceptar al grupo sin ella, yo me hice formalmente fan con Floor Jansen y sin duda estarán en mi top del año. This is definitely a song that grows on you. Don't judge it by the first listen. Listen to the lyrics, the message of the song, watch the video, the happy faces at the end of it. And then you'll get the song. It took me that, at first I wasn't excited about it either. It's not "a crappy pop song", it's just not a heavy song. Listen with thought.

There's something kinda darling about this music video. All these old people working in dead-end jobs in delapidated places that nobody cares for anymore, when all of a sudden, out of nowhere comes Nightwish to bring life back into their worlds and make them happy again. And that last scene of them all dancing together to the song is just lovely! Yeah, this is a pretty soft song compared to alot of their stuff, but hey, it's not meant to be brash and badass and in-your-face, or melancholy and sorrowful. It's meant to be uplifting, cheerful and whimsical. And from a band that claims to take inspiration from Disney and Tim Burton, we can forgive a little whimsy every now and then.

I love your theory. The only thing I would add is Troy appears at 3:15 posing as (to me) the boatman... who ferries people to the "other side" when they pass away. I don't understand why so many fans are complaining. Nightwish is growing, evolving, and changing as Tuomas is continuously looking for that "one sound" that he feels is really Nightwish. All bands experiment and try new things out. Is this album my favorite? No, but it is still a very good album.

There is a time and place for more power and strength. This song is meant to be uplifting, inspiring, even liberating. The gentle, undulating beat imparts a feeling of riding along with the music. Too much power will blow the message to pieces and overshadow the words. More power will come with the album.

I can see why this song was released as a single, it's beautiful but it's not saying too much about what we'll hear in the entire album. If everything was in this song, why waiting for the album.. Kyllähän tämä hyvä biisi on, sitä ei voi kieltää, mutta hieman vaisu ja rakenteellisesti vähän tylsä. Uusi rumpali kuulostaa hyvältä, mielenkiintoisia fillejä, mutta tässä videossa soittaminen näyttää aika laimealta. Toivottavasti levyltä löytyy vähän edistyneempiäkin kappaleita.

I agree with you, it's not the kind of stuff that you'd wait, it's too soft for my taste, it's a moderately good song though. You can't tell the absence of jukka. In my opinion, it sounds similar to I want my tears back and Nemo. Something to stand out is the counter melody, it's unexpected, not monotonus, atypical from nightwish. Let's wait for the album, let's hope there's better songs

Jos ne ennakkorapsat paikkansa pitävät, niin kyllä on ihan rempseää menoakin luvassa. Itsellä rupesi tämä biisi toimimaan oikein hyvin pienen kakistelun jälkeen, joskus se hyvän mielen biisikin toimii oikein hyvin. Floorilta myös hieno veto, mukavaa kuunnella myös tälläista herkempää menoa mimmiltä sen ReVamp-tyylisen revittelyn rinnalle. Ja Hahto on kyllä sen luokan kone rumpujen takana, että kyllä siitä hieman enemmän merkkejä pitäisi jatkossa saada.

I love Floor's voice but since leaving AF she uses her belts and growls too much there is the rest of her range going to waste. I miss her softer side that I hear here. Tuomas said he will use everything she has to offer in the new album so rest assured there will be heavier stuff too.

Great job with the video! I think this is the best video Nightwish has ever made. The theme of making abandoned places (and people) come alive to tell their stories combined with the joy that is present in this video without a trace of ridicule makes it truly touching. This video tastes of life and laughter and still it has more depth than I have seen in any music video for a very long time. The key that makes it work are the actors and actresses, their expression works! Moreover they are old, respected finnish actors and I feel that this video is also a recognition to the passing generations. Here the old and the younger artists come together and make something special. Bravo! I'm touched.

the ending is the best part of this whole video imho, the playback is just not really on par, but the song is, regardless. I would say nightwish is best when listened to live. The true feeling and their proficiency as a musician/singer do really shine brightest.

For those who deem the new Nightwish album as being a lame attempt, it would be delightful if every band in this world brought forth music of the same calibre (regardless of the genre). Izayoi Higurashi Haahaaa :D If no music is good without Tarja, then why is Tarja NOT an international super star? She isn't even near as successful as Nightwish. I realized this distresses you, but the facts are what they are. This new EFMB album and tour are breaking Nightwish records. Nightwish with Tarja _never_ could have done this well. Tarja's vocal style is too limited, and restricted the versatility and creativity of the band. Now they have Floor, who can sing almost any style and brings more fans to the band than Tarja.
