well Lorna shore is a diffrent kind of heavy! With all the melodies and synth sounds, they make it so its not TOO heavy! I went back to old trivium albums the other day, now that's what is heavy too me... because i couldn't take more than 3 songs, even tho i love their older stuff
@4tr0phy2 жыл бұрын
@@Heavymetal16 Lol wut? I was kinda with you at first like "ok yeah if heaviness is the visceral effect the mix has on you then I can see how Lorna Shore isn't THAT heavy because a lot of the more abrasive shit is kind of in the background." But then you hold up Trivium as a comparison, so idk wtf you mean now. Instrumentation wise Trivium is nowhere NEAR as heavy as Lorna, but even in terms of mix/vibe...they're like a tinnier sounding AILD. A lot of their older albums could almost be played on rock radio. @@evacody1249 I would argue that they have somewhat of an unique sound. My problem is that they don't really experiment with it, a lot of songs end up sounding the same due to pretty similar riffs and structures... @@muro4796 it's not though. Bands like Epica and Seven Spires and Dimmu do it far better then this band. @@LTR1420 Hell no, as a matter of fact FUCK NO! They're on hiatus. Vocalist Jonny Davy and both guitarists, Tony Sannicandro and Al Glassman did a side project called "Serpent of Gnosis" with The Black Dahlia Murder bassist Max Lavelle and Deeds of Flesh drummer Darren Cesca with 1126 Records (i have it on vinyl! ) in 2019. Also, last year in spring, JFACs record company (Metal Blade) said they were in the studio! So Um... yeah!

These guys and meshuggah are getting me enthusiastic for metal again. It's like a mix of Dimmu, Yngwie, and slaughter to prevail.

I’m a 52 year old 80’s metal head and back in the day I hated the screaming shit but he sounds like real demons and I absolutely love their music! Fucking Incredible! If Sméagol and Freddy Krueger had a death metal band!

If you listen to this and their last ep.. I don’t understand how you could possibly say they aren’t your favourite band… they are just so good, so fucking good! I love bullet for my valentine and orbit culture but this band has stolen top spot✊🏻
