As someone who has been big my entire life, it's really uncomfortable to be treated like some freak-show spectacle? He has the money and time and resources to lose the weight; Most of us don't, so it feels weird to know he did it on purpose.

I didn’t mean for this to be an essay but here’s a Hot take: This is how I see it. I do think he did genuinely fool the internet because he was an entity on the internet that people knew of but not so much to the point to actually following him unless it was to make fun of him. I always knew of him as a “fat annoying guy everyone hated”. On my side of the internet and for the grand scheme of the internet just knew him as a guy who made video where he eats so much and keeps gaining weight and got so much into the gimmick where his fans wanted to see him get bigger. In the sense of when KZbinrs find their one thing and can’t escape from it. The meat canyon video made about him was the major interpretation of him, like the whole internets view was that “his audience is ruining his body for content because that’s what they want to see”. So for the majority of the internet have that view of nickacado and not really care for his content because of how obnoxious he was, ofc nobody is gonna see these hints and even if we did see them, we thought they were jokes. So that’s why people ARE surprised. It’s also surprising that someone like Nick who was healthy, fall into this unhealthy phase and “struggle to get out” and then DID do it, it is surprising because lots of people struggle to get healthy even if they really want to. Now my only thing that I disagree with this whole “glorifying nickacado” is that I kept seeing TikTok’s saying “if nickacado can lose all that weight then what’s my excuse” which yeah, but the thing is, isn’t he like a nutritionist or something? Like he’s a person who has already known how to lose weight, not many people know how to or is trying but can’t. Some people (like me) have and always will see themselves as big even if we really lose weight and eat healthy. So that’s the only flaw I have. TLDR: I do think it’s impressive and he did “fool us all”, unless you are a fan and followed him or you really don’t like him then this doesn’t impress you. Idk any of his controversies and I don’t care bc someone nickacado isn’t someone I care about in the long run. But besides the controversies, I do see how impressive it can be.
