Have fought my fine, thin hair all of my life (70 Plus Years). I guess there are some tips in this video that would help people with hair like mine, but REALLY! She's got THE hair to begin with. I do watch videos like this, but I can't believe she has ANY trouble at all with making her hair look fabulous.

Same here. Very fine thin hair and I've seen no videos with hair like mine! People with thick hair or even lots of hair have no idea what we thin fine haired people have to deal with! I give myself heat activated perms which helps immensely and also cut my own hair. I've found salons cut way too much off my hair and I look like I've been scalped!

Her hair looked great when she removed the towel - She is not the best person to empathize with those of us with thinner hair - She also has a natural wave and body - The Dyson Air is over $500 and has had horrible reviews - She seems to be hawking products.

Everyone wants the hair they don't have! I have naturally curly hair and when I was young every one had straight hair! I finally found someone 25 years ago who knows how to cut curly hair. Sometimes it's just finding the right hairdresser!

@@carolirvine7663 She showed people how to make their hair look thicker and how to have beautiful curly hair. She can't help it if she's got thick hair to begin with. Obviously she doesn't think people should be using curling irons. Good to know. I enjoy these videos even though I have naturally curly hair. Perhaps you need to find videos of someone with thin hair if that would make you happier.

I have thin hair. Love this regimen. I use the Perfect 10 after shower. Then I add some mouse to the roots, and a dab of Trader Joe's Morrocan oil to the rest of the hair for smoothness. I dry my hair, and put in the velcros & hairpray. The longer you leave in the velcros the better. I drive to work in the velcros....take them out 5 mins away & voila!

My fine, flat, thin hair gets lots of unbelievable volume for days when I use “got2b glued ultra glued invincible styling gel”. I apply it, especially at the roots, then blow dry sections that I wrap on a large curler to set. For the next 4 days, all I have to do is maybe fluff it up with blow dryer and back comb. It’s the only thing that works because my hair is so fine.

Amen! Same here. I have thick hair and I use thinning shears from time to time to get rid of the volume. Stopping from bottom 3 inches. You don’t want to get too close to your roots. You’ll have breakage. Great to get rid of bulk and weight. So then I need to lift my crown because that’s a tad heavier and it can get greasy. And the hair is so thick tied to get to the roots sometimes. So I appreciate this video as well. if a tutorial does not fit me. I will just move on and come back to another one. 😮 wow so she has hella good hair j. So that’s her fault lol..She has thick luxurious hair. She can’t help it You have seen her mother. It’s genetic. So I personally think and I’m grateful for this upload.

I just recently found your channel and have been loving it. This idea was a game changer for me. I can’t afford the Dyson but have been tweaking the process to work with my hair dryer. A friend of mine saw me after I had used the curlers for the first time and said my hair looked then prettiest she had ever seen it. I told her what I had done and she ordered the rollers too! Lol. I also have watched some of your gray hair videos. Those speak to me because I had VERY dark natural hair but began to see a few grays in HIGH SCHOOL. I got much grayer and had a white stripe in the front when I became pregnant with my first child. I colored my hair for years! I actually had a beautician tell me I should grow it out but I still didn’t want to let it go. Finally, I cut it into a pixie and had my beautician add highlights and from there I let it go. That was @25 years ago. I am now 60 and my hair is pure white. It is also very fine. I feel like I actually had more texture when it colored it. My current style is similar to yours but the volume from the rollers has been amazing for me. Thank you so much for this tip. Love it!

I've been using velcro rollers for decades. My hair is naturally curly & gray, so it's vy coarse. Your other tips (hair mist, any kind of moisture or liquid/spray products on my hair, once it's been dried, ruins my style, bcs it causes the hair to curl up again, after I just spent 45 mins, sitting under old fashioned dryer w/ the rollers, to straighten it. If I use a blow drier, it frizzes & dries out my hair, giving a vy witchy effect. You are very blessed Nikole, to hv thick, straight hair.

I’ve been using Velcro rollers forever but I have to use clips to hold mine in place. I also find that it pulls my hair out of my head 😣, but they are what I used. Before my husband died, I cut my hair really short because I got tired of coloring my grey hair. Didn’t realize how grey I was. Very, very similar to your’s. My hair was too short to use the rollers so I haven’t used them since July 2020. One of these days, I’ll get back to using them.

Hello Nikol!! How did I miss your channel in the last many, many years? Just clicked on "Play All". Wow this is going to take several days. I just turned 62 last month. My hair is super thick and curly (can become frizzy easily) and ... I got my first silver hair in grade 8. yep it's a family thing. (By the way my ethnicity is South Asian.) I stopped dyeing my hair when I turned 48 or 49 and for the first time saw my natural silver head (not a single black hair to be seen anywhere). Then about 6 months ago I started dyeing my hair again. Since I have no natural hair pigment, I can get the colour exactly as pictured on the box which is tons of fun!

💃Oh Nichol, you're always right. Your hair has a very silky, smooth texture and amazing color pattern. It almost needs no care. I use a round blow dryer as well and even though the result is better than a salon hairdo I do not used the curlers anymore because I have shorter tresses and a lot of natural texture. The one thing I needed was a heavy duty antifrizz lotion for the humid tropical climate where I live. I found the "Ion keratin golden smoothing balm" and it did the trick for me. It's inexpensive and smells great although it is a little " greasy" so to speak. I love it though. Thanks for the hair, makeup and fashion tips. Beautiful and fun short videos. I feel exhilaration and admiration enjoying your sofisticated looks and mischievous and sexy attitude. You go girl!!!👍🥳

I just found you tonight! We have a similar hair cut , (my hair is a little longer, ) and I use similar hair products. I feel like my hair has gotten kind of boring but, I haven't wanted to spend a lot of time styling it. You've shown me how to do a better job with products I already have, such as velcro curlers! I only have 5, no wonder they are working there aren't enough. Thanks for the great tips. I look forward to watching an learning more.

When I took the Velcro rollers out, so much hair was broken. They got so tangled in my hair I thought I would have to use my scissors to cut them out. I'm a hairdresser, so setting hair on rollers is not new to me. I was afraid hair might break, but my curiosity got the best of me. My hair is long and baby fine. May work w/ magnate rollers. Just beware if your hair is fine.

This was very useful information since I have EXTREMELY fine, thin hair, which is now thinning too - I've lost so much hair during the past year - coming out in clumps for some reason, so I think I'll pass on buying these velcro rollers after all. I'll be 60 in June.

They also tangled in my hair and broke the strands. I haven’t used them for months while my hair grew out and recovered. I have read that some users cover them first in gauze on a roll. I’ll be trying that.

Hi Nikol I am a hair stylist and I have thin fine hair. I have tried dozens of products that promise to give your hair volume. None of them work for me. I've tried curling my hair and it falls out in a couple of hours. You have thick course hair. FYI you have no idea what a struggle it is to style hair like mine. I really enjoy your makeup videos.

Hi Barbara, I have the same issue with my hair. In addition to making changes to my diet, I am currently investigating scalp treatments that are natural. I am trying to find out if the Lazer cap, which I know works best for alopecia, is helpful for fine/ thin hair that recedes at the temples, etc.

Loving your channel. My beautiful mum passed away recently and I inherited her Velcro rollers ……… I didn’t think my 2 balding brothers would mind 😉 … I will certainly give them a try as I have thick hair and the cut is similar to yours. Also not sure if we have hair mist here in Australia but I’ll be on the lookout for it now 😍

It would be interesting to see your demo done on someone with finer hair, your hair is incredibly naturally thick with natural volume and I agree with what you say ie using Velcro rollers in the way you’ve demonstrated their use, I have the same length and style you have but I would use smaller rollers even though my hair is curly because using the larger rollers would make my hair flat and the volume would be lost, you use the larger ones because of the natural volume in your hair, smaller ones wouldn’t work for you, great demo thanks , oh and btw I am a hairdresser 😊

You have to have straight hair to use them without ripping out hair. I have thin wavy hair which means the strands are fragile and flat. I roll my hair up in a velcro roller and when I remove it, I can feel and hear the strands ripping out. Can't afford to lose hair this way since I don't have that much to begin with.

I use Velcro rollers of different sizes (not as big as yours) on top sections of hair at night that can’t be felt by pillow. Sometimes I dampen ends or spray product. I have mid-shoulder length hair with a bit of wave and curlers give volume and fullness to half-up, pony tail, chignon and other styles the next day. ❤ Velcros!

My hair is thick, fine and twice the length of Nikol’s. I would love to have this kind of body in my hair. I miss my 1980s big hair from perms. The Dyson hair dryer is what I use and it has cut my hair drying time from 15 minutes to less than 10 minutes and it’s very soft when I’m done. Menopause has made my hair really flat looking.

MS. J. I've been blessed to have found your channel earlier this year.. As the year comes to an end,I wanted to make the timeto thank each of the creators who have contributed such a wealth of knowledge and learning to this year bit by bit. You all have enriched our days, our mindsets, and have not just had an impact on the way we do things, our skillset level-up, but also our confidence in how we do things...and ultimately, I believe that translates even int the successes and victories, however grand or modest they may be, they're still success stories we definitely own, but might not have otherwise, but for the grace and wisdom, technique and experience based knowledge that has been so generously imparted to us by folks exactly, especially, like YOU. In my honest opinion, you are one of the most lovely creators I've seen, you have fantastic presence and personality and you present yourself with such poise and professional panache . We are truly blessed to be in the presence of such greatness. Here's to a year of great content and another yet to come. Thank you for all that you do and every little tidbit you share that makes our lives just a tiny bit easier, the slightest bit sweeter! You're a GEM. PS; I'm just gonna say it.... your hair has had me spellbound since January! I absolutely can't get over how beautiful that coloring is.. thePERFECT Salt & Pepper... and you have SO MUCH HAIR!! II'm just beside myself....green with envy... I hope your Christmas was merry and that this coming year treats us ALL much better!

I really enjoyed this video. I've been trying to up my hair game for a while, and I'm definitely going to try some of these techniques. I just want to put out there that the products used in this video are EXTREMELY expensive. If you can afford them, that's great, they are very good products. However, if you are on a smaller budget, you can get the same or close results with drug store products as well. Just make sure you get products that say voluminous and are lightweight. The heavier you make the hair with product, the less volume. Also, for those that don't have the Dyson, get yourself some decent brushes. The larger the round brush, the more volume you will get. I'm not criticizing the video at all; it's great. I just want people to know they can still achieve great results on a smaller budget so that no one is disappointed, thinking they can't do this because they can't get the exact same products.

I have used Kenra Volume 25 hair spray for at least 20 years ! I have tried many others & always go back to the Kenra quickly - I spray my roots and then use a styling tool - also, something I have used forever - Neutrogena shampoo - mix a squirt of it in with whatever other shampoo I’m using - does a fabulous job of cleaning product build up without drying out your hair (in my opinion !) I come and go with other products, but cannot live without these two ! Greetings from sunny Central Florida !

Well, I’m fortunate have access to professional beauty supplies because I got a nail license when I was young, but Walmart sells it in their salons - I think it is about $20 retail, but I just love it - do you have any friends in the business who could get it for you wholesale ? I live in Florida and buy it from a beauty supply called Salon Centric - they do make travel sizes, too, if you wanted to try that first - good luck ! Oh, PS, it Volume 25, not 22
