Same here. Very fine thin hair and I've seen no videos with hair like mine! People with thick hair or even lots of hair have no idea what we thin fine haired people have to deal with! I apply it, especially at the roots, then blow dry sections that I wrap on a large curler to set. For the next 4 days, all I have to do is maybe fluff it up with blow dryer and back comb. I just recently found your channel and have been loving it. This idea was a game changer for me. I can’t afford the Dyson but have been tweaking the process to work with my hair dryer. A friend of mine saw me after I had used the curlers for the first time and said my hair looked then prettiest she had ever seen it. I told her what I had done and she ordered the rollers too! Lol. I also have watched some of your gray hair videos. Those speak to me because I had VERY dark natural hair but began to see a few grays in HIGH SCHOOL. I got much grayer and had a white stripe in the front when I became pregnant with my first child. I colored my hair for years! I actually had a beautician tell me I should grow it out but I still didn’t want to let it go. Finally, I cut it into a pixie and had my beautician add highlights and from there I let it go. That was @25 years ago. I am now 60 and my hair is pure white. It is also very fine. I feel like I actually had more texture when it colored it. My current style is similar to yours but the volume from the rollers has been amazing for me. Thank you so much for this tip. Love it!

I've been using velcro rollers for decades. My hair is naturally curly & gray, so it's vy coarse. Your other tips (hair mist, any kind of moisture or liquid/spray products on my hair, once it's been dried, ruins my style, bcs it causes the hair to curl up again, after I just spent 45 mins, sitting under old fashioned dryer w/ the rollers, to straighten it. If I use a blow drier, it frizzes & dries out my hair, giving a vy witchy effect. You are very blessed Nikole, to hv thick, straight hair.

My hair is super thick and curly (can become frizzy easily) and ... I got my first silver hair in grade 8. yep it's a family thing. (By the way my ethnicity is South Asian.) I stopped dyeing my hair when I turned 48 or 49 and for the first time saw my natural silver head (not a single black hair to be seen anywhere). Then about 6 months ago I started dyeing my hair again. Since I have no natural hair pigment, I can get the colour exactly as pictured on the box which is tons of fun!

💃Oh Nichol, you're always right. Your hair has a very silky, smooth texture and amazing color pattern. It almost needs no care. I use a round blow dryer as well and even though the result is better than a salon hairdo I do not used the curlers anymore because I have shorter tresses and a lot of natural texture. The one thing I needed was a heavy duty antifrizz lotion for the humid tropical climate where I live. I found the "Ion keratin golden smoothing balm" and it did the trick for me. It's inexpensive and smells great although it is a little " greasy" so to speak. I love it though. Thanks for the hair, makeup and fashion tips. Beautiful and fun short videos. It would be interesting to see your demo done on someone with finer hair, your hair is incredibly naturally thick with natural volume and I agree with what you say ie using Velcro rollers in the way you’ve demonstrated their use, I have the same length and style you have but I would use smaller rollers even though my hair is curly because using the larger rollers would make my hair flat and the volume would be lost, you use the larger ones because of the natural volume in your hair, smaller ones wouldn’t work for you, great demo thanks , oh and btw I am a hairdresser 😊

You have to have straight hair to use them without ripping out hair. I have thin wavy hair which means the strands are fragile and flat. I roll my hair up in a velcro roller and when I remove it, I can feel and hear the strands ripping out. Can't afford to lose hair this way since I don't have that much to begin with.

Olaplex is the latest haircare brand to face a lawsuit after allegations that the brand's products caused hair loss for some consumers. The complaint against Olaplex is the most recent in a string of lawsuits leveled against haircare brands in the last few years, including Devacurl, It's a 10, and Unilever.Feb 28, 2023

I use Velcro rollers of different sizes (not as big as yours) on top sections of hair at night that can’t be felt by pillow. Sometimes I dampen ends or spray product. I have mid-shoulder length hair with a bit of wave and curlers give volume and fullness to half-up, pony tail, chignon and other styles the next day. ❤ Velcros!

My hair is thick, fine and twice the length of Nikol’s. I would love to have this kind of body in my hair. I miss my 1980s big hair from perms. The Dyson hair dryer is what I use and it has cut my hair drying time from 15 minutes to less than 10 minutes and it’s very soft when I’m done. Menopause has made my hair really flat looking.

MS. J. I've been blessed to have found your channel earlier this year.. As the year comes to an end,I wanted to make the timeto thank each of the creators who have contributed such a wealth of knowledge and learning to this year bit by bit. You all have enriched our days, our mindsets, and have not just had an impact on the way we do things, our skillset level-up, but also our confidence in how we do things...and ultimately, I believe that translates even int the successes and victories, however grand or modest they may be, they're still success stories we definitely own, but might not have otherwise, but for the grace and wisdom, technique and experience based knowledge that has been so generously imparted to us by folks exactly, especially, like YOU. In my honest opinion, you are one of the most lovely creators I've seen, you have fantastic presence and personality and you present yourself with such poise and professional panache . We are truly blessed to be in the presence of such greatness. Here's to a year of great content and another yet to come. Thank you for all that you do and every little tidbit you share that makes our lives just a tiny bit easier, the slightest bit sweeter! You're a GEM. PS; I'm just gonna say it.... your hair has had me spellbound since January! I absolutely can't get over how beautiful that coloring is.. thePERFECT Salt & Pepper... and you have SO MUCH HAIR!! II'm just beside myself....green with envy... I hope your Christmas was merry and that this coming year treats us ALL much better!

Wow - the Dyson Airwrap is just a mere $500! It must be nice to afford those products. Kerastase is about $50 as well.

I have fine straight hair. As I have aged it has developed some body to it but saw palmetto and castor oil shampoos and conditioners are the best products for thickening your hair

I really enjoyed this video. I've been trying to up my hair game for a while, and I'm definitely going to try some of these techniques. I just want to put out there that the products used in this video are EXTREMELY expensive. If you can afford them, that's great, they are very good products. However, if you are on a smaller budget, you can get the same or close results with drug store products as well. Just make sure you get products that say voluminous and are lightweight. The heavier you make the hair with product, the less volume. Also, for those that don't have the Dyson, get yourself some decent brushes. The larger the round brush, the more volume you will get. I'm not criticizing the video at all; it's great. I just want people to know they can still achieve great results on a smaller budget so that no one is disappointed, thinking they can't do this because they can't get the exact same products.

I have used Kenra Volume 25 hair spray for at least 20 years ! I have tried many others & always go back to the Kenra quickly - I spray my roots and then use a styling tool - also, something I have used forever - Neutrogena shampoo - mix a squirt of it in with whatever other shampoo I’m using - does a fabulous job of cleaning product build up without drying out your hair (in my opinion !) I come and go with other products, but cannot live without these two ! Greetings from sunny Central Florida !

Well, I’m fortunate have access to professional beauty supplies because I got a nail license when I was young, but Walmart sells it in their salons - I think it is about $20 retail, but I just love it - do you have any friends in the business who could get it for you wholesale ? I live in Florida and buy it from a beauty supply called Salon Centric - they do make travel sizes, too, if you wanted to try that first - good luck ! Oh, PS, it Volume 25, not 22

Hello Nicole, love your channel!!! I have thick but very fine straight hair that lacks volume, your tips for volume are great and I have tried the Velcro roller styling as well. It works perfectly but falls within a few hours. Any tips or tricks for creating volume that lasts for longer than a few hours? Thx so much!
