I am still not convinced this runs at 60fps it FEELS like 30fps… still it does look amazing and runs well enough. If u liked ori 1 and 2, I think ud like hollow knight. Those were my 1st two games in about 10 yrs follow by hollow knight and kena bridge of spirits. All great games imo

@SwitchUpYt early days but definitely a little stutter in places. But it is beautiful, gameplay seems great so far and music is an intriguing ambient, a bit like certain areas of tunic.

Played it on Steam Deck this year. My GOTY. So many fist pumping moments after beating bosses. Especially the last one (my hands were shaking and I noticed I was holding my breath)

Great video, also makes me realise that the dark/demon souls all enemy respawn when you rest is the natural evolution of enemies respawn when you move further away/when there spawn point is off screen (like mega man or castlevania or original metroids

It’s pretty important not to drop money at death. Make sure you pick it up before dying again because you need a lot of money for upgrades, losing money from chips is hard to grind back.

I rarely do day one purchases but when it was released on Steam I purchased it to support Red Candle Games since they had been done dirty by Steam and GOG following there controversy on there last game Devotion. Detention was a strong story driven "game" which was more point and click gameplay. Nine Sols is not my typical game and I did find the normal difficulty way too hard especially as mentioned the random difficulty spikes. I played it on story mode and it was more manageable but there are points where it was still rather difficult. The story is very strong, with a good balance of intrigue and emotions. The relationship that the protagonist forms with some of the members becomes very heartfelt and despite its whimsical visual style the story is very very dark. I'm hoping for a physical on the Switch.

Great game. The combat system is excellent. The parry window is more forgiving than in some other games, so don't worry is parrying is not your thing. It's a hard game though. Platforming is smooth but boss fights are hard.

As a big fan of a 2D Metroidvania platformers like this year's Bo Path of the Goddes it's so awesome to get another Bo like Metroidvania platformer in a futuristic world, but with Asian mythology that looks amazing I need to get Nine Sols on Nintendo Switch and I know I will give even 9/10 great game score when i'm playing this game what have the cutest art style and character designs ever love nine sols! 🌃⛩🏯😻

There is standard mode and story mode. Story mode is apparently a lot easier than standard mode. I think I heard that you can adjust the difficulty further in story mode but I played it on standard mode so I'm not sure.

I did actually mention boss fights but only showed the first (people moan a lot if you discuss others) boss fights are great but get BRUTAL, always fair though. Secrets…there are secrets but not on the HK level, enough for most. I am not aware of any Easter eggs I am sure there are some. Mark
