I'm here at one of the local Laundromats in my town, listening, praying, and participating in Mass with Ascension Presents and the Front Pew Crew. I work almost every Sunday, and I am just trying to stay on a schedule for good sleep. Thank you for this ministry. Thank you Jesus, for Masses offered everywhere online and on television. An important lesson today- After a big victory or a big defeat, we often think of "what should I do?" - Like Micheal Phelps and Elijah... What Jim Carrey said about riches and succes is true. Material things are not the end goals but being with Jesus and God is the win. Being blessed by God is a victory. The meaning of life is to be in sync with what God has in store for us. Kyle and St. Thomas Aquinas are right. Jesus is the best win for us. What we leave behind is our legacy and win. Like Elijah! Not what we get in the present only. Thank you for this teaching, Fr. The sermon resonates with me. Twenty one years ago I survived a devastating stroke. Most people don’t live. Unbeknownst to me,been preparing for this my whole life, since I was in excellent shape. Yet, I can’t talk, walk or eat. I moved to Kansas City to work for the federal government after nursing school nursing school. Graduated with a masters degree. Then,the stroke a few months later. I did all that in such a short time and now this! In some ways, I felt my life was over. Twenty years later, the fight isn’t over. Sure it felt good to be on top but, stroke brought me down to reality. I am fortunate enough for a second chance (with disabilities even). I am stronger,now. Ready for the next challenge

I’m here today because I found you when I needed to understand the Bible and your Bible in the Year podcast and daily Homilies in Hallow and Ascension transformed me this year. I went from a non practicing Catholic who was raised in a Catholic home and school but never really understood my faith to someone who feels God call daily now. I came to your mass today because I couldn’t attend in person and I needed Gods mercy and guidance today as today marks the beginning of a challenging season for me. I felt like today’s readings were exactly what I needed to hear and your homily really hit home and gave me a lot to pray on in the days ahead as a start this season. I am facing a stumbling block and have been battling steady spiritual warfare on my own for the last few years. Yes, I now pray a daily rosary. Yes, I get to mass at least once every two months, confess and have repented. I pray for everyone I can think of and every group. There are extenuating circumstances which I can’t list here but we all need prayers here as I don’t know anyone else who is or would pray for us that hasn’t already passed over. Bleak times. My wife wanted to participate in Mass this Sunday for the first time. We sat down and she started crocheting. I said, you can't do that you have to actively listen and participate. She says "I guess Catholicism isn't for me." Please pray for her all, I was so offended that she couldn't set aside 40 minutes for the Lord and just didn't know what to say.

Faith grows, it's is not always instant. Let her show up in the way she can now and maybe later she will be fully present. It's not something you can control.
