I got mine yesterday! It’s really well made i love the top of the hour chimes. It’s also just a nice aesthetic by the bed stand. I don’t like the motion sensor thing personally i turned it off by just hitting the button. I understand the $100 usd price is high, it’s a really nice novelty though

@@NextNate03 it’s different technology. This one is specifically similar to ones found in cars that self drive. The motion sensor tech in the joy cons are infrared based. The Wii motion is gyroscopic based. It’s not the same.

The alarmo has an STM32 H series processor (600 MHz processor with support for upto 2 MB flash) which has been shown to play NES games and play mpeg videos without no issue. Being an embedded processor and using some bare metal C, I am sure far more can be done.

Considering how Nintendo manages their e-shop, I really don’t have a lot of confidence in Nintendo and cloud gaming until they prove otherwise. That said, I’m hoping/coping it’s the Miiverse or Street Pass coming back.

The problem no one seems to be talking about is that whichever alarm sound I choose to wake up to I grow to hate as my brain associates it with the pain of waking up. This would shatter my enjoyment of these games as just the thought of their theme music would trigger PTSD.

Instead of streaming gameplay, I think they're going to stream ROM data while you play, that's why wired connection is recommended
