The difference between the original DS and the DSLite is insane. They are practically the same except for hardware, and only 2 years apart but the original feels ancient while the DSLite has held up pretty well. I got my Lite in 2008/2009 (after the release of the DSi) and knew a lot of people with one, but I’ve never met anyone with an original DS. I didn’t even know they existed when I was a kid

Everyone is always forgetting this model exists, and I dont know why, yes the DS Lite is a legendary handheld, and the DSI AND DSI XL are also amazing, but the original DS is amazing too, it looks and feels a lot more premium, and it has its own little wrist strap, plus the GBA games don't stick out when you put them in unlike the DS Lite, its just awesome man.

Yeah. I wanted a Gameboy Advance SP and I got one... that didn’t work so I got a DS instead. It was used and didn’t have the stylus but it server me well when I was bored in the morning. I don’t know where it is now but I found the charger. It makes me feels bad and regret about how I let it get lost. I hope I find it again one day and find chrono trigger and play. I only had two games (Dogs 2 and Chrono Trigger) but I loved the DS and wanted more games

Yes! I owned the classic gray FAT Nintendo DS. I spent all my time on that thing playing Nintendogs, Warioware, and my old GBA games. All my good friends had one, so when we hung out we would always mess around on pictochat for a while and played games that could use the DS Local Wireless (yes, it had close range wireless capability). In Nintendogs, if two people were close to each other and both walking their dogs in game, they could run into each other. You could even trade items with other nearby players.

I really miss the days where the best thing on display in videogame stores were DS games. New Super Mario Bros, Metal Slug 7, The Legend of Spyro, Ultimate Mortal Kombat, Star Fox Command, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl and Black/White, Metroid Prime Echoes, Zelda Phantom Hourglass... I remember that for Christmas I got a DS Lite with Pokemon Pearl, greatest gift ever.

It was quite funny how I was into PlayStation and everything Nintendo made me laugh, until later, I got the Wii and was surprised at how accessible and fun it was. I then got the DS, a second hand model like the one in the video, and played Rhythm Heaven/Paradise and got hooked. I also am crazy about WarioWare Touch!, cause that game is whack (in a good way). When the 3DS came out, I had to wait for the price cut, sold my 360 and got it... Man, those days seem so remote. Just, thank you Nintendo for your creativity and memories. Thank you for this video, man.

I had a white ds lite and a black dsi. I remember playing with other kids in the area multi-player mario kart, pokemon battles, mario party... Best days ever!

I remember back in 2010 I got my Mum's DS Lite. Since I was 2 at the time it was all I ever played on and it was my first introduction to gaming, along with Super Mario 64. I grew up with it for 3 years after it broke due to water getting in to it somehow. Then, later that year I got my own 3DS XL. I loved it and at first I had no games for it. Now, I still have a massive collection of games I've got over the years, excluding some of my DS Lite games that I had to get rid of. Another 4 years later my 3DS XL broke due to it somehow having the screen bent back. Again later that year I got a New 2DS XL, and I still have it to this day, along with all the games I have gained across Christmases and birthdays. I will never forget you, Nintendo. Thank you for showing me what gaming is about.

3:10 That Nintendo Ds Strap... I was fortunate enough to have had every edition of the Ds from the original to the first 3ds; However, to afford each one I agreed to sell my old one on ebay. I kept that strap when I sold my original DS, and I would attach it to every new DS I would get. It now sits proudly on my 3ds behind me on my shelf... That little strap traveled with me through my elementary, middle, and highschool gaming years. From 2005 to present :)

I was 6 when I got a Nintendo ds. It was the BEST console I ever had! My favorite games in it were dragon ball Z super saiyan, Mario party and Pokémon!
