Vergeben an insider who was known for predicting smash characters did say a Donkey Kong game is in the works, it was most likely not shown due to the fact that they want to finish polishing it and maybe wait until a Nintendo Direct to reveal it.

The way I see it, the reason we don't know the name of BotW two isn't because it will spoil the whole story out anything like that, but because they haven't been able to give proper context for it. Either the title involves a specific gameplay mechanic that hasn't been mentioned/explained, or because it's named after a story element we haven't seen.

I'd say the E3 Direct was *way* better paced than the February one. Giving SMTV 3-4 minutes ain't too bad when a bunch of EA's games got the same treatment and felt more like filler.

I think they showed more during the Treehouse streams, but the general world of Dread actually IS a lot more colorful than the trailers. It's just the rooms for the E.M.M.I. segments are intentionally muted and sterile, likely to help players identify when such a segment starts.

I'd like to think this round of Mii Costumes were "Listen, we only have one more fighter to reveal left, and there have been a lot of characters people want in. Here are costumes to compensate for those who didn't get in." Wouldn't be surprised if the final round of Mii Costumes is the same.

I watched the Microsoft/Bethesda conference, it was a very good conference, if you want games for your Xbox, there are plenty in there for you. Also, hearing you about Kazuya, yep, that's Tekken. If you know your moves, you can wreck anyone and Kazuya is one of the best characters in the franchise (inb4 I said "one" of the best, not "the" best, not searching for an argument here) and I like how they integrated his devil into Smash.

I'll admit that I was among the people who Blew a Gasket when Kazuya showed up, because I was at the point where I'd take ANY Bandai Namco character, but was also hoping they wouldn't throw in Tekken since they had, imo at least, way more interesting Options, one of which was my most wanted character (Agumon from the Digimon Series). And then of course it's a Bloody Tekken Character. I'm not nearly as mad now, especially since I got to try him out myself (offline since I don't trust my Current Wifi with Ultimate's Garbage servers), but unless Agumon is the last pick (because of how long it would take to incorporate Greymon, Metalgreymon and Wargreymon into his kit), it's still gonna sting like a Houndoom Burn wound. The lack of any Digimon Survive news during Bandai Namco's Presentation didn't exactly help matters either, but I should have expected that since Bandai Namco is Notorious for mistreating the Digimon Franchise despite the fact that it's their second best selling IP after Pac-Man and pretty much the closest thing to Competition for the Juggernaut that is the Pokemon series.

Kazuya is the only thing that disappointed me. overall a good E3. loved that they announced Advance Wars, WarioWare and Mario Party Superstars. also i’m definitely gonna get Super Monkey Ball. i love Monkey Ball.

Metroid Dread was a nice surprise, the Breath of the Wild sequel admittedly didn’t peek my interest much(mainly cuz I wasn’t in the mindset for that), the Game and Watch was cute though. As for Smash, it took a bit to get into Kazuya being in, looking up Tekken story and character so I have a better grasp on what his deal was. And I’m glad I did, he’s difficult, probably more for casual mess around playtime instead of serious play. As such he’s pretty fun, so enjoyable getting a kill with him :3 Then for costumes, I was prepared to see Lloyd back, at least he looks good, I’d say better than in 4(the Mii body being more toned in Ultimate shows with the costume). Dante and Shantae I really expected to be in, Shantae more so. So now idk who’s in(and I plan to keep it that way). At least their costumes look great, Shantae gets music(while not a remake for Ultimate is still a great song so I don’t mind), and hey, Skyrim. That is also a thing :3

Hard for me to imagine the last smash character being bigger than Steve just cause he's one of the most iconic and recognizable video game characters ever. I know some people who have no idea who every other battle pass character is, while Minecraft is so well known Maybe the last characters are the Tetris blocks, lol Still, I'm excited for the last character even if it ends up being someone I don't know. It's cool seeing new faces

I thought it was overall decent, and I was most excited to see the new footage of Zelda BoTW 2 along with Metroid Dread and the new Warioware game. @@cjszero01 I'm still not convinced really, like I could predict a ryu hayabusa mii costume right now and it could very well turn out to be true. Same as if I had predicted shantae to be a mii fighter months ago. Mii fighter predictions are lower stakes. Unless the guy definitively came out and said "pyra/mythra are next, after that is kazuya, after that is etc" then I don't really believe it. Not saying it isn't possible that he's correct, just I don't believe it personally. If it turns out to be true though, well I guess I'll eat my words lol

I really do not see how you can even mention the Rapper Mario leak. It's easily debunked since we know we won't have anymore fighters after DLC #11.

Well that's the only thing that conflicts with the leak. This leak, while a little vague, did give a number of details that got things right: Pyra/Mythra did not break the internet and were shown in a Nintendo Direct in which we haven't had a proper one in over a year at that time. Kazuya does come from a beloved 3rd party series that had a very small representation in the base game (basically appearing in Pac-Man's taunt). Monster Hunter returned as Mii Costumes going against the Concert Leak, Dante was also a Mii costume. And it brought up the potential bonus fighter which we kind of have subjective evidence of that, that came months later on. It's hard to know when Sakurai is trying to surprise us or is telling the truth. A deal may have been reached during this or if there is something else going on. If the leak is wrong then okay, but if it's right then there's more on the way. Right now the leak for me is more of a "Keep an eye on it" situation.

@@fictionfan0 Yes, but next year is Kirby's 30th anniversary, and Kirby getting one game per platform almost never happens. The only systems to only have one Kirby game each are the NES, Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and Wii U. Every other Nintendo system has had at least two.

the lack of colour in metroid to me seems to be due to the portalesque style of the villains (which translates a bit into the areas)

There wont be any more after that" He specifically said "the next DLC fighter" not the last fighter in the fighter pass or something else, so theres no possibility of having another character after the fighter pass ends. Even if there was a possibility, having a 4chan post as a source of a rumor, it is still almost 100% fake

Sakurai's words are the only conflicting thing about the rumor. Everything else the leak has said has lined up. Plus, sometimes Sakurai's words almost feel as good as a 4Chan post. I'm not saying it's 100% real, I'm saying it's worth keeping an eye on.

I was hype to see Shante. I wasn't excited for Kazuya but he looks amazing (still haven't played as him yet. Def gonna need to be nerfed). I feel pretty much the same as you on E3. Dread, MP Superstars, BOTW2 looks cool. Still hoping Star Fox comes back soon. As far as the last character, Irdk. I want Shadow the Hedgehog or Doom Slayer. Realistically, Ultimate could go on forever. Maybe update the pre-Smash 4 characters to have better movesets and let the echo fighters keep the current movesets, add in a new story mode closer to Subspace. Have a Smash64 mode where all the characters have 64 models and hit hard, or a Melee mode with the newcomes added to wave dash and L cancel. Either way, Im happy.

I’m done with my prediction of a Gen 8 Pokemon. The past three fighter reveal I thought for sure would be a Pocket Monster. But alas, who we get as the final character I’ll give them a pat on the back. (Unless it’s Jonesy.)

It kinda breaks my heart seeing people push the idea that Smash DLC is going to end on this super-ultra-amazing 3rd party charter that will blow all other characters out of the water in terms of pure hype. People, that has never happened. Anytime a run of DLC ends, it's always with a 1st party character (and some of you not-smartaleks are already pointing out that both times were Fire Emblem characters [but if that means we get Itsuki Aoi in Smash, I'm not complaining]). Keep those expectations low, guys; you'll be much happier. And on a related note: rumors and leaks. Nobody wins when those get involved. Either they don't happen and you're disappointed, or they do and you're not surprised. Congratulations, you played yourself.

DLC beyond Fighters Pass 2, eh? What would they give us? More spirits, maybe? I don't wanna get my hopes up for any new or returning game modes to play, even though that would be my preference (Smash Run anyone?). Guess we'll just have to wait and see for this one. Honestly, I was just happy to see E3 happening again after it succumbed to COVID last year. Nintendo's presentation was what I'd generally expect from a standard Direct, but there were some things they announced that got me particularly excited, most notably, Mario Party Superstars. So overall, I'd say they did well this year.

@@unclepaul1995 Can't quite understand what you're getting at. Are you saying that I'm saying that Mii costumes can't be promoted? Or are you saying that I'm saying that DLC Mii Costumes can't be promoted? If the former, not at all. Isabelle, Chrom, and King K. Rool got promoted but not until the next game. If the latter, then you're missing what I've said. Before in the past there was a ballot and I was thinking that if King K. Rool (or any character that had Mii DLC costumes) could be promoted if they won the ballot. However, there is no ballot this time and let's just say that if the DLC ends with FP2, then they've already picked the characters and it makes little sense to make a Mii DLC Costume and then make them into a playable character. Why waste resources like that unless it's to surprise fans? There is no rule saying they can't be upgraded, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. I got the Bomberman Mii Costume and it looks great, Lloyd is back and it's better than nothing.

When a really middle of the road Nintendo Direct was the best thing at E3... Oh boy. But i went on stream with some friends and put it behind me so moving on.. As for Breath of the Skyrim 2, is it me or has nomura been taking lessons from Todd Howard... and not in a good way. As for Rumors, this is why you don't put stock into em til they make a name for themself. And even then i only really trust DasVergeben on Smash cuz it's the only thing he's been consistantly right on.. cept for the fact that he had a bum source this go round. (For the record if you and anyone is curious he guessed Master Chief but i can go over that more how it ties to still going leaks if ya got time to talk about it in replys) And also for the Record Dante was my Number 2 and Shantae my Number 6 so i am a bit miffed.. Hopefully costume rule gets broken someday but i doubt it.

I wouldn't call it Dream Crushers for the Mii Costumes myself it's more "Hell yeah, they may not be full blown fighters but they're still playabe in some capacity!" type deal. I'd rather have Mii Costumes than not have them be playable at all and that's how I felt about all the Mii Costumes. Plus that fan rule about Mii Costumes is stupid anyway considering there's several characters in Smash Ultimate's roster that also have Mii Costumes (Chrom and K. Rool).

I agree, I would rather have them as this than not at all. However, the thing about the Mii Costumes is, the reason why (at least myself) say it de-confirms a character (at least in terms of DLC Mii costumes) is that why would they spend time making a Mii costume for a character they were going to make them fully playable? Now I do feel that it's about 100 times easier to make a Mii costume than a playable character but it feels as though if you're going to sell a costume and a character, than it's best to sell them at the same time. Almost like you're saying "you can get this deluxe fighter with stage, music, and spirits for $5.99, of this costume for pocket change." There is no rule saying they can't be promoted during the DLC... but it's very unlikely to happen (though I would love to be wrong so I can get Bomberman and Lloyd as fully playable characters).

I'm not asking for a link to the leak, but an idea of what to search for since I'm producing no fruit whatsoever on where it's at on my own. I can't navigate 4chan to save my life, and I'd rather not be looking at... suspect ads while searching. I get enough of that stuff shoved in my face from people sharing inappropriate symbol arts on Phantasy Star Online 2 as it is...

Honestly cj. In my opinion. Don't believe every leakers. Most of the time their wrong. Yet I'm gonna be hypocritical and hope that Sakurai pulls a 180 saying that there would be a 3rd season pass or at least new characters appearing via updates. Even though this man deserves a very long vacation...it's a mixed bag of emotions. And honestly..I'm hoping for yorha unit 2B from Nier Autoamata to be the 11th fighter..But if any of the others like Master Chief, Doom guy, Crash, or Sora get into Smash..I'm down with it. But we all know what will happen..the minority or majority will be angry about it if it's not THEIR character they wanted.

nah dude, people wouldn’t complain if they didn’t add so many characters like that. that’s the reason they complain. personally i don’t mind “anime” characters, i just want to see good choices added. Byleth and Terry pretty crappy choices. if they added someone that made sense then i would be okay with it. like Sephiroth. he made sense to me. i would like to see more 3rd party villians too. like Eggman and Wily. those would be cool picks. in my opinion they should really have to be a character that deserves it to be added as a 3rd party rep. that’s the reason why.
