My original left joy-con won't charge sometimes. Switch says it's empty, says it's full as soon as I connect it to charge, but then says it's empty as soon as I take it off.

@ThatAnArchyDude5 жыл бұрын
@@cybercube8433 Nope. I just have to detach-reattach it repeatedly until it reads correctly. That's the only thing that seems to work for me. I have the original all black console, and not the red/blue joycon console. Maybe that's why? Which one do you have? Regardless, I had ZERO issues until their first controller update. ALL of my joycon problems started immediately after that. I knew I shouldn't have taken it.
@irishengine91665 жыл бұрын
Anarchy, did you try replacing the battery? I'm not sure if it would work and it's also a very risky solution. But I think it might be a problem with the battery pack itself
@ThatAnArchyDude5 жыл бұрын
@@irishengine9166 No. Rebooting the console while only the left joycon is attached fixes it. The system then recognizes the battery IS indeed empty. It's also happened with only the right one, and only twice in 10 months. It's not the battery... it's the system.

if you had actually watched spawnwave's videos like you said you'd know that the literally only moved an antenna around and that the new material for the joystick contact pad has literally the same problem. The motherboard changes are limited to changes caused by switching to a newer version of the same CPU and new RAM; a few things where moved around a tiny bit, some traces might differ, that's about it. The Switches on ebay that aren't charging have been broken with 3rd party chargers, which also has been documented by Spawnwave and MANY other channels and sites.
@GameArchitect5 жыл бұрын
First of all I know about the antenna thing and the analog stick did in fact change, even the look of it is different when you open it which was easy to see in the video by Kevin Kelson, and when it comes to the charging port, yes some were damaged thanks to that but a lot of people also had charging issues when not using a different charger, and using a different charger doesn't necessarily damage it since I have done so many times myself

I haven’t heard of the usbc cord having a problem can someone explain
@jilliancodella74423 жыл бұрын
I'm sure the problem causing the joy-con drift are the R3 and L3 buttons. I've seen a lot of things pointing to this. Just don't press down on the joy-cons/Switch Lite joy-stick and everything should be fine. Something about something bending when pressure is put on it. I read this somewhere. I'm planning on getting a Switch Lite for Christmas so I've been reading up on this. It's not just the Switch/Switch Lite. Other controllers with similar buttons have the same thing happen from what I've been reading up online. Maybe this is why some people don't have the problem. They never press down on the control sticks like a button as much as others do or not at all.

The Switch is already broken since launch…wow. Hopefully Nintendo makes a new model Switch that solves every problem that they (and including us) could find within the current Switch models and probably the Switch Lite as well.

Never heard of the USB C connector breaking, makes me wonder if people are slamming them into 3rd party docks and accessories. I’ve had Joycon drift but I was able to fix it without having to bust open the joycon.

Honestly if they take out one thing from the joycon drift would not happen because the joystick is so small and that is the problem for drift.

So, my right joycon got "drift disease". Tried to browse online and real life stores for new ones. Turns out that literally 9/10 stores in Poland don't have any. First thought: Nintendo quietly removed entire batch of joycons from retailers (to awoid further lawsiut or something). Did that happen in your countries too? PS Dualshocks are the best pads ever. Nintendo could learn from their japanese brethren a lot, how to build proper gamepads.
