Very disappointing Nintendo E3. This was E3 2008 bad. This was Sony 2006 bad. This was Microsoft 2013 bad. This is what I told my friend Gamehead aka SaltyTearsofXbots: It was very underwhelming. This whole E3 was underwhelming and meh except for Bethesda and EA (BF and Mass Effect) Good: Star Fox Zero looks good and is being developed by Platinum games, FE looks good (I seriously want this game), SMTxFE also looks good (it's Atlus, it will be good). Mario Maker looks amazing. Fucking finally a release date for Xenoblade. Yokai Watch localization is good. Bad: Too much 3DS games, games we already knew about. I was seriously getting pissed off at the developer's stories, especially the stupid Yoshi one. Seriously WHY do you take so much time for this shit. WE DONT CARE. I guess the anniversary is nice, but this is not something for E3. Metroid fans are fucked in the ass. Fuck the whole skylanders bit. And no F-Zero. Seriously, that's the only thing I wanted. Where's Mario Galaxy 3? This Nintendo E3 was 2008 all over again. I hope they recover with a direct in August or something. The only thing I get from this E3 is Shenmue 3, and that is a fucking kickstarter. Out of the 3, Sony had the best one, but that is only because it had Uncharted and Horizon. I don't see FF7 and Shenmue 3 as exclusives.

I have _some_ hope (but not too much after today's events) that we could get multiplayer for it.

I'm going to keep paying attention to the Treehouse Live event. They may reveal more. That's what happened last year. Anyway, after watching the digital event, I feel like one or two big things were missing. And I mean missing as in they were going to be there but weren't there. I know there's that exclusive project that Namco-Bandai is working on that was mentioned in a past direct but wasn't mentioned this time. There's that Retro Studios project that's been in development for about 18 months. Maybe that was just shy of being ready to be revealed. But I honestly think that Zelda U's delay really was unexpected and that's probably what was supposed to be at E3 this year. Had Zelda U review both a lengthy trailer and was present on the show floor, that would have made up for a lot. Really though, if they wanted to make the Digital Event better with what they currently have, they could have thrown a Fatal Frame trailer and a Dvil's Third trailer in there in order to make the Wii U lineup seem more complete.

There were one or two great things that came out of the digital event (Starfox, and I'm personally excited for the Mario & Luigi/Paper Mario crossover), but I found that most of it was either filler, things we already knew about (even excluding leaks), or spinoff/remake games which could have been better shown at a normal Nintendo Direct. It also kind of abruptly ended and I was like, "wait... is that it?". I think Nintendo would benefit from hiring more developers. Although some more focus on third-party support would help, with the increased time required for HD game development, they seem to be short on first party material as well.

10:38 The thing about this Animal Crossing game they announced is, that it *isn't* an Animal Crossing game, but a Mario Party X Monopoly party game without Minigames! If it *was* a Wii U Animal Crossing game there'd be at least something to look forward to on Wii U besides Xenoblade X and StarFox. The Mario & Luigi X Paper Mario looks *really* legit though! Can't wait to see more! :D

Pro's of Nintendo's E3 Star Fox Zero is being co-develop by Platinum (though for some stupid reason when this wasn't confirmed during the digital event) it looks like the new Fire Emblem will just be one game in the states instead of the stupid way it getting release in Japan Xenoblade X's US date Con's of Nintendo's E3 everything else

Metroid Prime 3DS is still in development. Hopefully in 2016, the graphics will look better.

Yeah, I agree. This was very underwhelming. Before this event, I didn't think this but now I'm honestly thinking they're saving games for the NX launch. In fact, I really hope they are.

It's pretty obvious that they are done with Wii U and are moving all their upcoming titles to the NX. Including Zelda.

I think you forgot the fact that Animal Crossing Wii U was a FUCKING MARIO PARTY CLONE. It wasn't an Animal Crossing game at all; if it was, then it would be hype-worthy. Instead, it's just a cheap fucking gimmick for getting kids to buy Amiibos (it's literally called "Amiibo Festival"). Granted, it doesn't sting as much as "metroid", but it still feels like a huge kick to the balls.

I don't know why it's so difficult for Iwata and his team to approach things aggressively - I don't want 5 minute interviews about plushie prototypes - I just want a rapid-fire delivery of announcements: BOOM - BOOM - BOOM! One after the other. New things. Headline stuff. Why can't they get it? 4/10.
