I can explain why TC gets the buffs to the team that is on the tower. Tower is unique in that it requires you to slowly push into enemy turf while being in a very vulnerable position. If in Rainmaker you can do one big push for big points and then fall back and defend against enemy catching up to your shenanigans with your vaning turf advantage and their extra specials, TC requires you to gain ground steadily with tower's limited speed while the enemy has a good defensive position. It's not a snowball mode, the special charge is there to make sure that matches can go past 30 points, without it the mode would be a stallfest. It is a bit overtuned in attackers' favour at the time, but the thought is there. It would be nice if they made it so whoever is on tower gets more points than the rest, since unless they play Snipewriter they get very limited opportunities to turf. Make it so when there's someone on the tower, the team in control gets 3 points per second normally, and the riders specifically get 4.5. When there's nobody on the tower, the rate drops to 1.5.

Excellent rundown and I totally agree! TC as a mode definitely has its faults, but at least either team that is looking to push has a solid opportunity to score and take the lead.

I've been playing comp for 10 months and knew about the TC passive special charge, but I was always told that it was only the tower rider who gets the charge, so my teammates would always make me (the tacticooler player) ride the tower 😂 thanks for the informative video!

Still not bad advice, the support player is typically the one riding tower (although it can go back and forth between them and the backline)

I went back in forth on how to display the information and came to the conclusion that it made more sense to me to have all 3 use cases clumped up together because Clam Blitz is a little complex with how it works. But you are totally totally correct, the bottom box (0v0 clams) is the same thing as No Condition!

Excellent question!! 1+ vs 1+ power clam at the beginning of the match (no scores yet) will result in NO passive special charge for either team. Really appreciate you asking!!
