Nintendo's 2024 Release Lineup Is Looking...

Today I wanted to take an updated look at Nintendo's release calendar for the Nintendo Switch, as with no Direct in sight a lot of folks are dooming and glooming over the software lineup this year. I think it'll be okay!

I think what we’ll see this year (direct dates aside) is: Metroid Prime 2/3 in July Fire Emblem Echoes: Holy War in August Super Mario Party 2 in October New 2D Zelda in November Other games I could see us getting are WW/TP and possibly MP4 but those are already beaten to death in prediction circles

They really should give es the olders games a modern touch. They go all out in getting official voice actors for them for the mobile (which is surprisingly still going). It makes no sense to give the Japanese exclusive games english voice actors if they never remake them for international release.

Since this is a predictions video and all, I've got some of my own but they're more like ideas for some games: Pokkén Tag Tournament - It's gonna be like the previous Pokkén game but focused more on the traditional 3D fighting game elements than the arena fighters. You'll still be able to move around the area but you'll have a dedicated button to move freely similar to what the Tales games did. You could also customize your Pokémon this time around just like in the regular Tekken games but limited to accessories and joke weapons. Donkey Kong: Banana Slammers - The title could use some work but essentially, it's Donkey Kong Country mixed with the 3D platforming of Crash Bandicoot. It'll also have a bit of beat 'em up elements with the punches, kicks and weapon pick-ups along the way. Mysterious Murasame Castle Remake - The best way that I could describe this is that it's like Okami meets Ghost of Tsushima. It'll be an open-world game (albeit in a smaller scale) with combat similar to the previous 3D Zelda games.

The last story is a really good game. Ive also been hoping that it gets ported over to switch. I have a wii to play it, but its a hassle to get it out to hook it back up to play it. Its a very solid game and would do well with the switch

Is it really so bad that we need to wait until June for a Direct? I think that’s great. We know what they’re releasing the rest of the first half, and a Direct before June doesn’t affect releases in the latter half. We’re good - Nintendo will do a show when they’re ready to showcase the rest of the year’s (and beyond) catalog, likely more ports/remasters/remakes. Which is okay :) good stuff is coming, we just need to wait. Lots of books and games for me to catch up on in the meantime. Enjoying this channel, keep it up!

I say shadow drop of Metroid prime 2 and 3 in June direct . July fire emblem game, late August /early September a Kirby game. September F zero gx remaster shadow drop at direct , October metroid prime 4 and Mario party game, Zelda port/remake 2d or 3d. And a bonus super mario wonder dlc.

I think they could give a Donkey Kong game this year, Most likely a port of returns to go with the new section in SNW. Everything else? I'd say: Prime 2 and 3 for the Prime 4 A new Mario Party A port of Country returns And Maybe a shadow drop of Luigi's Mansion 1 before the release of 2(Yes I know it seems unlikely but I just that having the whole trilogy on there would help boost the series beyond just 3 like they did with Pikmin and what their trying to do with Prime).

Tbh I'm kinda glad its a slow year. Gives us a chance to play games we missed. But if we do get new games, I'd like to see that fire emblem game. I have a feeling WW/TP wont happen just because Nintendo likes to throw people for a loop lol

July 2024: If there’s no Zelda HD ports coming up, then wait til November. Otherwise, Metroid Primes 2/3 HD August 2024: A new Kirby game September 2024: A new Mario Party game October 2024: Metroid Prine 4? November 2024: Either Zelda HD ports ot a newer 2D Zelda game Early 2025: FE4 remake

I doubt it will be just a switch with better hardware. Nintendo is famous for going out of there way to be unique. For example the Wii U was the successor to the Wii but was very different in a sense. And the new 3ds and new 3ds xl are part of the 3ds line and the oled is technically the “new” varient of the switch. I think the reason the next console is taking so long is because we are all going to be surprised by the successor.
