Deshaked + QTGMC for 50fps (Select 720p50 using the gear icon for the higher frame rate).
Camera audio was replaced with circulating AUD1.
This show took place one day after Reading 1991 (8/23/91) and ~a month before the release of Nirvana's "Nevermind" album (released Sept 24, 1991).
More Notes form Part from Nirvanaguide.com:
--
The headlining bands cut their sets short so Nirvana, who missed their performance slot after supposedly getting caught in traffic and/or at customs, could squeeze in a 30-minute set. However, according to the band's former agent, the band intentionally showed up late so they wouldn't have to play so early in the day.
Nirvana played using Rausch's equipment, resulting in Kurt and Krist playing on the opposite sides of the stage as usual.
Compiled by Copperpot5 I'm always looking for uncirculated Nirvana Video/Audio. If you taped Nirvana back in the day or happen to have any uncirculated Nirvana media please shoot me a message or email. Thx! Email: Jaycopperpot at gmail dot com)

Amen Jason!! Strip away all the distortion and drums and you have expertly crafted songs. His ultimate strength was songwriting. It’s one thing to play heavy and aggressive but it’s another to do that with great melody. Then add the heaviness on top of what he wrote and you have a nut punch you never get up from.

I am 67 years old. I have been listening to rock since the Beatles came to the U.S. in 1964. I have seen a million bands and listened to tons of music. No band before nor after has had as much creativity, musicianship, or just plain in you face showmanship as this band. They are by far, the best.

thank you for sharing this, im 25, I live in canada and hadn't listened to nirvana until I was 19, I always heard the name "kurt cobain" and saw the shirts, I never asked whos name is that? and wondered why that shirt was so popular and then one day I asked and the guy in highschool who beat me up told me who they were (he was a big fan ironically enough) so I went on to watch some of their live stuff and was disappointed to say the least, then a couple days later I went back to give their live stuff another chance and it just changed everything, my life. im glad I found out about them later than soon because im afraid if I found out about them earlier i'd be 25 and not care so much more about nirvana.

She loves to hear how she danced inside me to his music as she is an adult now and 2nd generation NIRVANA fan. I now am a Gigi my grandson sits on my lap as i play NIRVANA. Thanku for the time you spent in our world Kurt, you gave us your HEART AND PASSION IN THE PUREST FORM. MUSIC!! it all became to torturous for you being away from your NIRVANA and you had to return to that magical NIRVANA back home...what a loss. For us all.

As the story goes, the boys were very late for this appearance, so much so that they missed their scheduled slot. All the other bands agreed to shorten their own performances so Nirvana could squeeze in 30 mins on stage. To most spectators in the audience, nirvana were complete unknowns. As you can see, the band completely won over the crowd within 10 minutes of playing. It's funny to hear all the boos at the end of this video as the crowd were really upset that band's set was so short. This is up in their top 5 performances of their careers imo. Pure magic, I fuckin love Nirvana 🤘🤘🤘

That's correct - I was there and can be seen in the crowd... As far as I remember Nirvana came then from a touring Netherlands and they should have had big trouble at the dutch-german border because of drugs... Bands like Sonic Youth, Dinosaur Jr and Grant Hart shortened their sets due to those circumstances. Monsters of Spex was really a great show - what a fantastic line up for very little money. Those were the days of wine and roses

Please upvote this post: EVERY CAMERAMAN IN THE WORLD should take note of this: the BEST camerawork I have ever seen for any rock band, EVER, is the way this video was shot. The camera is STATIONARY and pointed at Kurt (e.g. the 20:00 mark). 1.) Point the camera at the star 2.) Leave the camera ALONE! That's it! I believe fans love this, to just watch and stare at the star. Nowadays, all this "fancy" camera work (like changing the camera angle with each drum beat) is irritating to no end. The old style "point the camera and leave it alone" ROCKS!

Luke Haines was right: "Nirvana were a force of nature". You can see that long applause at the end... the audience were highly excited by this brief and extraordinary show. That very moment (the crowds reaction) reflected a glimpse of the upcoming phenomenon that the group would become a month later. Many people who didin't know them at this time realise they weren't just any band, they were something else. The energy of the band was at its best.
