発売当時は確か1700万円超え。当時私は高校生で到底手の届くクルマではなかったし、程度の良い中古の34GT-Rが500万円程で買えた時代。しかも2,3年後には後継の35GT-Rの登場がウワサされていただけにとんでもない金額の34だと思ったけど、20年経った今や10万kmオーバーのノーマルすら35GT-Rどころか当時のZ-tuneの金額を超えるレベル。当のZ-tuneに到っては先の海外のオークションで日本円で2億8000万円超え。 一体こんな状況を当時の誰が想像できただろう…。

Wow, this will be a great honor to restore one of the Z-Tune R34 GT-Rs to like new condition. Thank you for your hard work in building these! Hopefully Nismo will build more R-34s for customers using new body in white chassis and RBs, maybe not to the level of the Z-Tune but still a good street car now that the GT-R may go electric and the R34 was the last great hshift driver's GT-R.

こういう企画めちゃくちゃ嬉しいけど、実際にR34のGT-Rに乗ってる身としてはパーツのある程度の安定供給に力注いでほしい。（もちろん部門が違うのも理解はしてるが） ブロックはもう受注停止してから1年半経ってて受注再開の見込みもユーザー目線では不透明。 しかも再開時は”また”ドーンと値上げするんでしょう。

R34自体が不人気で短期間しか売ってなかったし、当時のコンプリートは新車が前提やった。 時代も就職氷河期よろしく景気あまりよくない。 買える層からすると中古いじった車に見えちゃう。 自分の車をZtune化に持ち込める基準も厳しかった。 500馬力オーバーも耐久性を無視すればシルビアでも出せる。 R34なら、もっと安くチューニング出来た。珍しさはあまり無い。 価格も当時の新車3台分と考えるとぼったくりイメージだった。

This is the kind of mindset that kills innovation. The R34 was good, but Nissan (and carmakers, in general) should stop relying on their past successes to move their company forward. Actually, while they still have the chance now that the R35 is going out, they should focus on reimagining the GT-R, instead of solely relying on what worked in the past.

生産台数19台？現存する個体数は存じませんが、アメリカとか香港の資産家がいくらでも払うとか言って探しそうですね。ただ２０年前の車の部品も限られるので、リフレッシュプランができるのは生み出したNISMOならではですね。
