Finally finding solving and cooling the gremlin that destroyed the water pump and radiator cap on my Nissan D21 Hardbody, this theory of excess pressure causing damage in cooling systems applies to nearly all vehicles and if you have a similar problem it is a simple fix that could save you tons. You could perform this entire job without any special tool.

Take a picture or record what it looked like before. They also have instruction manuals online for complex repairs but this was very simple so that wasn't needed. Thanks for the feedback!
