I bought my 2006 Spanish model 2 years ago, had it on the road for 6 months, and same thing happened, head gasket, 4 cracks in the head. I am rebuilding. But got half way and on the way to the garage to work on it had an ancient on my motorbike and have been in recovery for 12 months, and another few to go. Feels like I will never get it finished. I replaced all drives, suspension bushes, arms, new rack for roof, lights, light bar, lifted 2" and lots of other bits. over 2K spent so far LOL.

I have a 2011 R51 LE that is black like yours I drive here in Texas. I put on a bull bar and upgraded the roof rack. I bought a 52 inch LED curved light bar for the roof and a 20 inch one for the bull bar. I am planning on getting a 3 inch body lift as well as a 2 inch suspension lift and a set of the Icelandic made Fjallasport fender flares.. Those fender flares can make the R51 look so sexy..

I agree they are super aggressive the plan for me is to work with a company local to me and we are going to be developing some of our owen if all goes to plan the day i was supposed to take it there i had the dreaded coolant in the gearbox issue so it got postponed for the time being

Hi Pete Pathfinder, new viewer here. I am enjoying your videos. I just bought my 2012 Pathy S in July. It is a fun runaround. Thanks for the improvement ideas. LOL. Keep the videos coming. I like your casual style. Throw in a couple of Dad jokes once in a while.

body lift is a waste of time & hassle. 2" suspension lift is easy, inexpensive & functional. building the roof rack is simple with unistrut or welder. tires can fit up to 33" tall without much trouble. r51 is useful, practical & very much fun.

Thanks yha i thjnk im jusy going to do the 2" suspension lift not a body lift unless i go for 35" tyres but for now sticking with the new AT tyres i have got now
