So I love this channel and this episode really make my day, but being a patrol owner in the middle east, there were some mistakes in this video. 1: The nissan patrol y61 is still under production just for the middle east. 2:The nissan Y62 just got an update for 2020. 3:The pic shown for the VK56 was the 317 horsepower variant and not the 400 horsepower one. (The ever famous headers and intake "filter" is associated with the y61 immediately.) 4/5: How wasnt the GTR powered Nissan Y61 mentioned which beat the 918, which featured on the The grand tour. All in all the 1st video aired after james recovered was about the patrol means alot to me,probably all middle eastern subscribers.

Im late, i just seen it on Snapchat and i just need to go one about the Patrol. The 4.2L engine from the 80s is withput a doubt the most reliable engine ever built. I've seen one with minimal changes and over 1.8million miles. And my father is a huge Patrol fan, he has an 83 (parts), 87 (big offroader), 89 (you'll see below), 99 (parts), 01 (parts) 02 (gonna be a big offroader), 03 (you'll see below), 05 (below) Nissan Patrols. He is swapping a 4.2L from the 83 in to the 03 (which had the 3.0L, which in his own words, is unkillable until 800k miles, then its a bomb, things going wrong left right and centre. But he needed a Manual gearbox so thats why he has the 99 for the gearbox. He is swapping 3.0L Diesel from a BMW 5 series from the early 2000s into the 05 as he heard its a great change. His 89 Patrol has had some lifetime Daily driver for a while. Then basically scrapped and my father went to rebuild it but never had time, and he literally didn't turn it on for over 14 years he thinks, and he was telling me and my brother, doing nothing not being turned on or anything that whole time, he just turned it on 1 day, absolutely nothing wrong with it. And he drives a 2016 Ford Kuga around with 150k miles+ i think and the starter is already fucking up, engine lights coming on and just beeping at literally everything. He says he hates it. But a 30 year old engine thats been doing nothing for near 15 years (which should not be good for engine) starts instantly with no issues? 😂 The V6 in newer models is a Renault engine so it speaks gor itself... Unless they changed it and i didn't know, (haven't watched video yet)

You'd be surprised how many 60 series Patrols are to be seen in Colombia, they can be seen either as heavily modified off-road trucks or for hauling a wide variety of stuff. Sadly because of both aformentioned there are few good examples running in the streets. I also would like to add that I was wowed seing footage of two Patrols with Colombian license plates, totally didn't expect that.
