Glad to see you back and to hear you're still getting some time in the garage. We had our first kid six years ago when I was midway through an engine rebuild. Needless to say the engine is still in pieces and the car hasn't moved since 🙁

Yeah sounds about right. Im popping out to garage between babies naps and after she has gone to bed in evening.

Good to see you back James, Have definitely missed your videos that was a good wee update, You certainly keep busy, Looking forward to seeing the video on the sunroof to, the diesel isn’t to far away now and that Vitesse is going to be amazing. I’m in the middle of stripping a 3.5 V8 engine and rebuilding it so going to go back to your other videos you did a while back on the engine rebuilds. Looking forward to next video James 👍

Great to see you back, even briefly! The diesel is looking very well these days, disproportionately happy to see an 'ugly duckling' given so much care and attention, that's always going to be a far rarer and in many ways more interesting beast than 'another vitesse', as marvellous as they are. Have a magical Chrimbo with your new little person, they're even better than the rarest diesel rover, and I hope to see more SD1 action very soon (even if it's a bit crap and poorly edited, bang it up - it's all good and we're nosey!). All the best!

I do miss the videos mate but obviously you're busy. I remember watching you work on the diesel on the car park outside at work before the world went to hell. I think its turned into a bit of a labour of love. I have just got my first welder in the last few weeks. An R-tech MIG 180. I have been patching up some issues with my worthless Toyota turd wagon with it and learning as I go. Most of what I know about welding repairs I learned from watching you weld that poor diesel SD1. 🤣

Congratulations mate. Trying to keep progress moving with a family is near impossible. I am trying to rebuild a 3.9i ES Disco 1 and it is taking years. Dads ill health, flu, bad weather, short nights, work, kids parties x 1000, literally no time. We need these projects to stay sane!!!!!!!!! I have just given up booze to help with the cost and stop occasional hang overs that cost valuable tinkering time.
@nitrosilviaКүн бұрын
Interesting what you say about drink. I think i need to do the same. Too much money and evening tinkering time lost.
@TheCounty90Күн бұрын
Yes a few people I know are meeting an early demise, drinking not helping. Also it ruins gut health which is important for energy and vitality, needed for restoration work. Apple cider vinegar for me only now!

@nitrosilviaКүн бұрын
Oh wow. Its it a twin turbo or single? Mine is from a range rover. It has a single turbo on teh right bank, and uses the hotwire fuel injection but being run by a zytek ecu. Gonna be fun trying to wire that up and tune it
@gareth350017 сағат бұрын
@nitrosilvia twin turbos, bolted onto both exhaust manifolds, fed by SUs. Very similar set up to Ken Clarkes' car that was at the NEC this year.
