My local Acme died 5 years ago. Weiss and Stop&shop are on their way out too. They just can't compete against Shoprite. My area open a new Shoprite less than 1 mile from another one. Piscatway/South Plainfield.

Peter, I hope the trend doesn't continue. we have an ACME in Kenilworth, I think its doing well. The one in this video is part of new apartment plan (about 190 units). Thanks for the comment!

I know exactly the one you speak about. Yes, ShopRite has really good sales, and sometimes I catch good ones at Acme as well. Back when I used to coupon a lot, ShopRite was THE best place to coupon at. Now you’re limited as to how many coupons you can use in one trip. 😅 If something is not on sale and you need it, ShopRite is usually always cheaper than Acme.

Looks like ShopRite and whole foods will be the main players going forward. Im guessing Shoprite is the reasonably priced option and WholeFoods is the more expensive/organic. The illusion of choice .

Hi Piter, it looks like the acme resurgence is over , at least in nj. Our local acme seems to be rocking and rolling, but I guess I don’t see their actual sales. We’ll see

Just to let you know. I worked at that store, and if parents of those kids find out you filmed them, you could get arrested because they're minors. Not trying to be rude, I'm just saying. The store officially closed its doors, Friday, March 8th at 5pm. Sad beyond words.

People in public have no expectation of privacy. That includes children in a public place. If it was a crime every security camera in every store would be committing a crime. If I am wrong please provide the specific statute.

@@richardlord7775 I understand but you did intentionally leave it recording on them for a couple seconds. Security cameras are different, to protect and for evidence. You knew what you were and are doing. Those minors are between 15-17 years old.
