You can also ring Resmed Australia and give them your serial number and they will tell you if it’s 3*or 4g , as I have just done after watching your informative video. Many thanks.

I don’t have a clinician monitoring me remotely but I am a commercial driver who is required to turn in periodically Cpap reports and I just realized my Cpap hasn’t updated in 4 days. Thanks for showing me where to find out what mine is. Mine doesn’t say 3g or 4g but rather cdma. Mine is cdma.

CDMA is 2G/3G mate and is discontinued. Head over to www.sleephq.com . It's a platform i made and you can easily drag and drop the files from your SD card into the platform and share reports instantly. You can even invite users to view your reports. Cheers

In the clinician setup menu under info it gives details of the modem including serial number and whether it is 3G or 4G.

Hi Nick, great job you are doing there. You usually have all the answers even before I know I need them! My Resmed AutoSet 10 went dark on 18-04-2022. I'm sure there are many others in the same situation, depending on the cellular carrier they were using.

Mine too. I just checked the my air website. And it says my machine last sent data on March 31. So it went dark a little before you machine. The machine provided claimed it was because the company went with a new provider that had bad coverage. They sent me an SD Card that I have been using since. Which is a little inconvenient. It was easier to have the machine sent the data to my doctor automatically.

State Bar Association in your state. In the US in my option anyone can sue anyone if they have a damn good attorney. We can also band into a class action suite. And that's where the court system of our federal gov can and does make it happen. It's time to make this happen. It is not OK to expose people to cancer in the US ask and chemical company about that one. In the US we have a full court system that recognizes person suite, Pain and Suffering to start.

TPG (Vodafone) is not shutting down its 900 Mhz 3G services. Voda (TPG) supplies services to Resmed AirView Remote. So if you are getting a signal now in Australia, you should still be getting a signal at least until 2024. I *wonder* why Resmed has not issued a statement.

DreamStation 1s don’t have built-in modems. You can buy a Wi-Fi module or a 3G modem module for a DreamStation 1. I have found evidence that a 4G modem module for a DreamStation 1 is under development.

I know that you demonstrated unplugging the modem pcb but I was looking for some video on how to open the case. I just watched another KZbin video of a guy trying to remove the modem but he obviously didn’t know what he was doing and looked he was going to break the plastic case in the process or at least bugger it all up. I would like to know the proper way to open it up without wrecking it. Thx.

NICK: I could not find the episode where you asked about ResMed AirSense 10 "airplane" mode turning itself off & automatically sending data out through the modem. I tried an experiment: turned "airplane" in and it has stayed off for 2 days, so far. Confirmed no data getting to MyAir app. I wonder if your viewer's machine was programmed to automatically relaunch modem? Hope this helps.

Switch the modem off. Companies make more money selling the data they collect from you. In fact the last few years more money has been made world wide via the sale of meta data than the sale is oil! Store your data to the SD card so your data is between you and your doctor

I just got a resmed 10 autoset and it acutally has a added loose pages stuffed into the user manual stating mine does not have a modem or wireless transmitter of any kind. It just has a memory card slot. Obviously i dont like the idea i cant use the app and it raises the question of how my insurance will connect to confirm im wearing it.

My sticker is quite different at the base, and behind the device. Instead of focusing intently on the writing, I then observed a 1cm blue dot 🔵 with 3G on it 😂 dumbo me. I long ago thought the app was childish and trite and deleted it. I wonder, without the app, am I still transmitting to ResMed? I do frequently check my device screen to check for hours slept and other stats.

Interesting. I have a res10afh as a trial right now, it has the 3G info on the back sticker like the vid. I bought my own res10a with only 171hrs on it used. No cell info on the sticker but when I plug it in and go to the settings it says 4G?

In Australia does it not just tell you in your settings menu what your connection type is? I can go look in mine and it will tell me I'm on AT&T's 4G LTE network. No need to open it up. Might be in the clinical menu, I can't remember.

G'day, you don't need to open it up, should just say where the serial number is but yes in some devices it will also have the information in the menu but if it says 3g just be aware you still might have a 4g modem but it might just be using 3g as a fall back. Cheers
