My first job out of college was Department of Health and Envirnomenta; Control... I left there and began a life of construction projects.... early on as I ask to be assigned to every discipline in the construction of a hospital ... then waste water treatment plants.. Before working for myself, I worked for the county, state, and federal government ( twice ) EPA projects always --- I then went into business as a licensed/general contractor --- ended up late years as an insurance adjuster ... I wrote all this because there are hundreds of people like me ... we can build anything without the federal government ! These people in this video inspired me to write this post !

Flood waters get real nasty. I would try and do a raised deck if you can to keep the person being deconned out of the wash water. Watch for cross contamination from sewage and septic into food system. Watch out for older homes in the area for asbestos. I used to do this stuff in the Coast Guard. Yall are doing great.

7:00 That list is the real deal! I did a science project in 8th grade 1971 on purifying water. At that time rivers etc were badly polluted in USA by industry and I was a 14 y/o “green” girl - lots of tv ads about not littering etc. I researched it, my method was simple: •river rock, pebbles •charcoal •sand I got tubing from a surgeon neighbor, 4” plastic tubs from fish store, connected it at levels. Poured in dirty water up high, as it ran down, at every stage it got cleaner. I didn’t have a pump or I would’ve won - I did get an honorable mention. I’ll also add I’m a 2x survivor and apt to bacterial skin infections. I use Clorox in whites & household cleaning, measured or blended of course, to stave off bacterial infection. I keep my towels and underclothes clean. The risk of infection without it, on me, is higher than using it. Sea Breeze is also a great topical antiseptic for skin. It has eucalyptus oil, clove oil. I’ve used since high school (for breakouts, bug bites, scrapes) you can get it most places. 10 oz. $6 use w/cotton ball. -- You guys are rocking it and you WILL overcome this tragedy. I am so impressed with everyone. I enjoy your channel you cover the best stuff! Thank you🇺🇸✝️

I live in an area of NC contaminated with toxic forever chemicals by big chemical companies and I personally think the EPA is very needed, with the ability to enforce violations. The amounts of cancer in the most highly contaminated areas is disgraceful.

@@PermaPasturesFarm21 then lots of oversight is needed. I can agree there. Nobody should be able to get away with corruption. Don't get me wrong, I don't want big government. But neither do I want these immoral companies with all the lobbying dollars in the world to get to act with impunity just because they have the power of money. I think there's a place for government oversight in there. Remember the Cuyahoga River catching fire before the government oversight?
