We have basically big chopped around the same time but my hair is not a long as yours but I have watched your videos a lot and you stated you really understand your hair and maybe cut your hair a few times. But, I am struggling with frizz tho but I think I've gotten a good routine but I loveeeee watching your videos even tho our hair is different

Humectants work by pulling moisture from a more humid side of the barrier (the layer of pomade on your hair) to the less humid side until a balance is reached. So, if your hair dripping wet when you applied the pomade then it would have worked to pull moisture out of your hair. In humid climates it makes more sense to apply in dry hair. It's therefore also a really bad idea to use humectants in dry climates. The humectant will always seek to pull the moisture out of your hair. You are much better off going with an occlusive ingredient (something thick with Shea or other butters or coconut oil) this will trap moisture in the hair so apply stuff like this on wet hair.

@@TheCarnivoreSoprano A lot of people don't realize that "natural" doesn't mean good for your skin. A lot of natural oils irritate the skin, and cause problems, like peppermint, tea tree oil, and a lot of botanicals (flowers). Although "all natural ingredients" sounds good, our hair/skin isn't meant to be covered in plant extracts, and dermatologists back that up.

When your hair was a little shorter and wasn’t long enough to be braided. How did you preserve moisture over night? I have really short hair and don’t know if I need to just wrap it and leave it alone on out stuff in it.

Tamara Jackson i usually moisturize my hair 2x a day, once in the morning, once at night. i put my short hair in twists, and then put on my silk/satin bonnet to preserve the moisture in my hair, then in the morning i unravel the twists, moisturize again with aloe vera, and a little oil, and style it.
