the attention to detail is pretty great in this one. The very expressive mouth movement, burn bot getting concerned when he flags her, the animated drunk guy in general. What really impressed me was, In order to portray how unfamiliar max is with guns, he was animated doing all kinds of subtle things wrong. He never used the action, didn't put the butt-stock where it should be, didn't keep his finger off the trigger, etc. lol Good shit max, I can really tell that you put a lot of love and passion in these videos.

I personally fucking loved Venom. Tom was a good actor and I couldn't see anyone else playing Eddie. Eddie's relationship with the symbiote was amazing. The only downside is that it seemed like nobody but Tom was trying to act, and that the villain was eh. Venom fight scenes were fucking amazing. The comedy was good. And Tom as you said can really act crazy. Overall I thought it was really good.

Because it takes the story of venom and the whole reasoning behind his origins and WHY he's the antihero and throws it in the trash. Venom has to meet spiderman, but he cant meet spiderman without the fantastic four bringing the symbiote to earth, and without spiderman venom has no goals, and upon the creation of venom, carnage is also made within the same few moments. Its all in the comic books, its a solid story.

Saying Tom Hardy isn't a reporter isn't really a fair critique cause that's consistent with the Eddie Brock character from the comic-books cause he never really came across as a reporter either and that's where I take issue with the film cause they portray his underhanded tactics as being for a greater cause when contrary to the original source material he did it for personal gain.

That and characters are illustrated uniquely in comics in an attempt to convey their presence. Movies can't follow the same rules. It's the difference between those who act on stage and those who act in front of a camera. Film loves subtlety, you can have an Eddie Brock who is sleazy without making him look unkempt.

He may not make a good reporter, but he does make a good Eddie Brock. The main problem I had with the film was the writing. Effects were really good, She-Venom was a fun surprise, Riot was questionable but awesome, casting was great, action was decent, but the writing felt like it was holding back the possibilities for Venom throughout the whole movie; came up as huge roadblocks; And no Spider-Man was a complete pain in the ass. Overall score from me: 5.1/10

@@RobynReanimates I would say it does cause its a comic-book film and that's who Eddie Brock is, a sleazeball who does unethical acts to benefit himself, I think that would've worked better for his redemption arc being more earned cause that's core of his character, but I can understand why they wen't a different take on it, through exposition it's illustrated he's done questionable things prior to his firing, so at least it's consistent with his behaviour. I did love his exchanges with Venom, they nailed that.

Okay everyone here is very wrong and not in the satirical sense that Max did it. That's an Ithaca Model 37 pump shotgun, it's not a rifle, it does not shoot bullets and "half-automatic" is not a thing, I'm assuming that guy meant "semi-automatic," but the specific firearm that Max has isn't capable of that. This is why the media is so terrified of guns; they don't understand them. Educate yourselves.

Venom was a 4.5/10 at worst, a 6 at best. I never got why people went so out of their way to shit on it like they did, sure it had a lot of bad things in it that kept it from being an amazing movie, but people made it out to be Fan4stic levels of bad! Even while parking in front of the theater I was going to see it in, the radio I was listening to on the drive there suddenly came on with the host starting to talk about how bad Venom was seconds before I was going to watch it! I went into it thinking it was going to be the worst thing ever, so when it turned out to be entertaining at the very least I really couldn't see why people gave it such bad reviews as if it was the most offensive thing ever. What's shocking the most is that the biggest thing people complain about is that Venom isn't related to spider-man at all in this movie, which.... so what? I'm a venom fan in the comics, but there was no reason for Peter Parker to be involved at all with venom if they were going straight to Anti-Hero Venom! All Spider-Man ever did was help turn Eddie into a villain and they have never really gotten over hating Peter Parker, so none of that is needed in a story that isn't about Spider-man fighting Venom as the villain.
