Exactly, one of the best movies out there and damn the movie literally has an effect on the real world since now they are best friends for real same as in the movie. I wish there will be a second movie since the ending was a bit hanging and should be expanded as the story wasn't done yet.

@@touchgrassgangy Sounds like American Pie comedy kind of. That was meant to be one film, and now it's a whole bunch of them.
@shougokawada8491 Жыл бұрын
I think the scene was fun and probably came as a big surprise for those who hadn't known about it but it was anything but organic. It was intentionally bizarre and over the top. I think Hollywood (not indie films) in general is incapable of creating an organic nude scene. They either intentionally avoid nudity completely in situations where it would be expected (for example, there were some scenes in the film where it would have looked completely natural and appropriate, like the undressing before going skinny dipping or when they tried to have sex but those scenes avoided it) or they exaggerate and sensationalise it to the point of ridiculousness like the beach fight scene and then overuse it in marketing mentioning it in almost every interview. I can't tell for sure but it's probably because Americans in general are still uncomfortable and hung up on nudity, having the tendency to oversexualise and oversensationalise it and being unable to see it as an ordinary and routine element of a film like any other. That's why I much prefer the European approach where nudity is just a standard part of a narrative that doesn't stick out from the rest of a film and nobody makes a fuss about. As a result neither actors, nor viewers have any problems with it. That approach feels much healthier and more sensible to me and deserves to be followed.

That dude has BAGS of charisma! Look forward to what he does in the future! Good to see these sorts of fun movies still being made. I rarely laugh out loud with anything movie related but found myself chuckle a few times in this. It's a solid rom com that follows the same formula without the usual payout still generating a good outcome. Def can see this turn into an American Pie type thing following Andrew to college and Jen have some whacky other story plot going on where they connect again. Bravo.

I was thinking about this the other day. It's kind of funny because most actors get their start in horror or teen comedies. The R rated comedy too which has kind of fallen away and I'm really happy they're bringing it back. Jennifer Lawrence skipped over all that and went straight to working with some of the best directors in the business. So she's kind of doing it in reverse. She's already proven herself in serious stuff. Now she's going to have some fun.

There's a rule that it takes under a minute for a Harvardian to work that fact into conversation for anyone around who may not know. For a moment there, I thought Andrew Barth Feldman was going to blow it and break that rule, but, lo and behold, at 57 seconds into talking, he got it in just under the wire. Whew! It was a real nailbiter for a moment there. So glad Andrew Barth Feldman did NOT disappoint in letting everyone who may be watching or listening know in under minute that, yes, he's a Harvard man.
