No more London System in 2024 was my New Year's resolution. This was my first game with white. I played e4 and faced something I wish I could play against every game:D

Totally. Maybe next year he can upgrade to a 600 euro car with a non-leaky radiator!

I have a friend with 2050 fide elo. I know him very well. I can say without a doubt that you are much better than him. Calculation is above the same but your comprensation on the strategic/positional part of the game is way more deep on you. Also the level at endgames. If you want to train blitz on lichess with him (he is 2400) i can tell him. He's very good at faster time controls. I think this year you will get your elo rating where it to belongs. Grettings from Argentina.

Nice new years resolution although I do think your chess level is beyond the many harms that comes with that opening. I once did a study for fun where I played 10 games moving 5 pawns up 1 square at random for the first 5 moves. Against london players rated about 1600-1800 fide 6 didn't understand central control, whilst 8 didn't understand the concept of tempi/initiative with only 1 player understanding both! In fact, besides the 1 player that understood both it was actually easier to beat them than if I were to play normally as black.

It's great to see someone to chase their dreams and go all in for something they like. Being the same age as hanging pawns, it's a bit discouraging to see how difficult it is to get rating in chess as an adult even when someone studies and plays chess full time for years.

At 11:12, stronger is Qh5 Nx and then followed by Bg6 checkmate. Nice one by the way

@@salemtv5808 In chessbook you can tell it your rating and it'll tell you what lines to cover based on what gets played at your level. Initially, it was developed to stop people from studying lines they will never see at their rating. Definitely better for own courses. A planned feature for the future are pre-made repertoires made by strong players.
