It's pretty obvious what this case was about... The plaintiff changed her mind about getting certificate and she knew she had two options; finish teaching the needed hours OR pay up. (although that in itself isn't really all that suspicious - it may have been the kind of thing where you have to pay dues etc. and they don't feel it benefits them anymore) the idea of working off your hours sounds good - the logic of the plaintiff was very flawed : shes working off the hours SHE OWES to get the certification. Theres nothing in the agreement about being paid out for those hours if she walks away.

That's not true. I attend yoga classes and personal training classes with an instructor who is thoroughly trained and explained to me how the training works. They have to get trained for their job just like the rest of us have to get training for our jobs. Yoga isn't all just woo-woo crystals and stuff. My instructor, and those who work for her, take the exercises seriously, and I feel physically good after a class.
