@@erinjean2695 he's not super thin! May be a kilo or two underweight, but that's healthy for a dog (or person) to miss a few meals a week. I work at an animal shelter - this dog looks fine! I have 2, I call it a walk-about. Mine do it once a week, gone all day. My little farm has an unfenced creek out back. They get out somehow from a 2 acre homestead fence. Bessie recently didn't come home for 3 days, showed up with a broken hip and I had to put her down. I'm an old man and still cried for over a hour. Spike, her partner, doesn't go very often anymore and I now have 4 month old Brutus. I put fencing on ground under gates. They are wonderful farm guard dogs, don't even hurt the 2 feral cats that rat the place. But woe be the coyotes and feral dogs that try to get the farm animals. Stay safe, stay prepped. GOD BLESS GOD SPEED GOD WINS.

It’s true everything is staged on KZbin these days. However regardless if this is staged or not, the reality is that type of dog breed is almost always patient and easy going with humans regardless of the event. So I’m saying this could be real, also he’s seen their faces multiple times and knows they aren’t out to hurt him. It’s mostly the breed tho, if this had been a pit bull or some other breed they would have given a warning bite for sure

My wife and I had a stray Pyrenees for many years. Wonderful, gentle dog. Didn't have a mean bone in her body. We kept her to guard some sheep. She couldn't care less about sheep, but was very protective of the pasture, and we never lost any sheep under her protection. She also liked to roam, and it took a lot of training for her to learn to stay home. She was also an escape artist, and could climb over a 5 foot gate to get in the chicken yard... which she could not escape from. Finally she settled down, and we could leave her outside the fence perimeter. Every morning and evening she would stroll around the property perimeter to make sure all was in order. She stayed outside in all kinds of weather, and stood her duty. She was also great with kids, and they would ride her around like a pony. She died in the kennel on an especially stormy night. I found her on the floor in the morning, and it looked like she was sleeping. I buried her in a shady spot where she used to lounge on hot days. She was the best...

My guy Willie is a Pyrenees mix with a story similar to Miles - he was found locked in a closet in an abandoned house, and was scared of his own shadow when he came to me. Didn't bark, wasn't dog friendly, couldn't walk on leashes, was confused by toys. We celebrated our one year anniversary this week, and he's snoozing on the couch next to me after a long afternoon of playing tug-of-war with his friends at the dog park. It took so long for us to get here, and there were times I wondered if we'd ever make it. But I wouldn't trade one moment of the journey with him‚ and I bet Megan feels much the same.

But them being always on the move, I didn't get a chance to meet them. Till that one day. He stopped, and we had a small talk, while his dogs were wagging their tails like crazy. Then I started to pet the Pyrenee. All of a sudden he jumped up on me, laying his paws on my shoulders in an attempt to lick my face! That was and still is the only time in my life that I stood face to face with a dog, looking him straight into his beautiful eyes! And I'm 6 ft tall... To live scared and alone for an entire year is tragic for any creature. No shelter or reliable source of food, yet still afraid to trust anyone because prior experience taught him that was even worse. So moving to finally see Miles after rescue, standing to hug his foster and playing with other dogs.

There is no evidence that he was scared or alone. There are dogs who are quite happy to roam the streets and the way he backed away from the collar the lady presented makes me think he quite liked his freedom. We humans should question our actions more often. Even if they come from the heart they can be wrong.

I had a Pyrenees just like him . I named him Big Boy & he was a big boy too . They are the most precious dogs I have ever known . I live on the family ranch with 600 acers & cows & horses & he loved them so much & is totally protective of them . I lost him to old age September 22 2020 . But I got a little girl Pyrenees about 2 2/2 years before I lost him & he had time to teach her things . Lord only knows how much I miss that Big Boy baby . Thanks for catching Miles & helping him .

Xeauz you're so right. I couldn't imagine my babies out there on their own. My beloved Cockatiel got out and I was devastated 😢. After 4 days of putting up flyers all over the place, we finally got her back. She got sick about six months later. Our vet saved her life, then 1 yr. later she got sick again and the vet saved her again. Then a couple days later she died. It was horrible.

Pyrenees are huggers, one of the few dogs that are. They don't jump up and try and lick you, they stand up on their hind legs and sniff your breath and if they're cuddly, they'll lay their head on your shoulder. Stretched out like that they can stick their nose in the face of a 6ft tall person, so if the person is only 5 and a half feet tall, they'll look you right in the eye. The whole time though, they will be very calm and mild mannered about it. It's just how they say hi to new people.

SHE believes SHE's gonna give that dog a better life. May be that dog prefered have an empty stomach but being free, instead of being fed and pet in a comfortable home. There is only one time, when I've seen an human give the animal a choice. It was on this channel, with a feral cat trapped in a car. The owner let the door open to let the cat decide.

@@thetimetellingbutterfly4445 @ 00:15 "Miles was stray for an entire year". Yet that dog is still alive. And not once questions about his health was raised, nor send to vet the second he was captured. And again, @ 00:22 "... I'm gonna save him." From what exactly ? @ 00:27 "There are other stray dogs that would attack him" That dog is big and solid white. If he was injured by others dogs it would of show right away. But again, with all those concerns about his well being, and her will to save him : no vet. @ 00:45 "I can't imagine him trying to find shade, ... " But in several occasions she encountered him lying there, she even filmed it @00:30 or @ 00:49 Dude this is so hilarious and I am not minute from that video. Ok let's keep going @1:32 @1:38 & @ 1:55. 1:11 "... "Oh, no, no, no." I don't know what your plan is with that but I'm not even going near you with that." And that will be the 1st time we saw him stepping back from her. And she noticed it. She even commented on that. and also @1:23 "At that point, he started to run away from me." @2:58, once again, he tried to escape. Seems to me that dog knows exactly what a lasso is meant for, and clearly, was having none of it, just like she stated. But again @3:25 "Once he had the leash on, he was paralysed." Do I have to remind you that that dog was able to walk fine just a few seconds ago. A dog, in the streets for a year, was able to walk fine just a few second ago. So Miles is a great Pyrenees. Great Pyrenees are sheep-guarding dogs (therefore an outdoor dog), known to have an indepedant spirit, known to be left alone.
