@@allencolvin4320 In Eastern and Southern Oregon they talk about seceding from the rest of the state and joining Idaho. It wouldn't take much for Eastern Washington to join. Two movements are in the works for separating the rest of the state of CA from San Francisco, LA and Sacramento.

@@robertdouglas8895 We drove from SoCal to WA this summer and I was pleasantly surprised how many conservative signs (Trump, pro-life, water right for farms) I saw in OR, but that was in the rural/farmland areas. The same thing here in CA. The rural areas are much more conservative.

@@rachelpelczar3163 The ideals differ greatly between the big cities and the rest of their states which are mostly rural. There is an exodus from the cities. Maybe that will help educate more people to the rural ideas.

Yes, I remember that! LA county was the worst - shutting down playgrounds, parks, and large city outdoor spaces (like the poppy preserve) where people tried to hike, with tons of room to "social distance." My city even made it a crime to not wear a mask outdoors!?! Oh what a difference it made, right? 🙄 If they dare to bring back mask/vax mandates for schools (which we know they will) we are out...trying to find a way to leave CA, within the next year, in hopes that our kids will get to experience freedom and a place they can afford to make a living in.

My carnal nature would love to move but 17 years ago my husband took a church in Southern California because guess what? California needs Jesus. They need people to stay and reach the lost. Yes it’s a crazy place to live. It’s insanely expensive grossly immoral and very hostile to Christian’s but someone has to stay and pray for redemption and offer hope. So yes I get why[people move to Texas and Florida but Jesus didn’t call us to run and find other Christian’s to hang with he called us To go into the world and preach. Every time I vote I wonder why I bother but I still vote and leave the rest to God.

God blessed us with an amazing job here in upstate NY, the Adirondacks are so beautiful, but bitter cold in the winter. Nothing like NYC. But great jobs are scarce here. He has just retired at 70, my MIL has passed 3 years ago, and we hate the corruption of our state. If we can convince our daughter and SIL to move too, we are outta here. NY was once a wonderful state. The left has ruined it in many ways. Would love to visit Cali but the desire to see all the desecration of a beautiful state lessens that desire. We love FL but it is very expensive now and drastically changed from what it once was. Heaven will be wonderful when we get there.

I’m born in raised here in a small town in Florida and rent has tripled since Covid and our conservative little town doesn’t feel so conservative anymore. I think these people are bringing their bad politics with them. And not just Cali either. I never thought I would leave Florida… but my hometown is ruined. The homeless population is even through the roof now! I literally am shocked everyday. Go back to Cali! And New York too!!! Lol

Left California a year ago, it was the best decision of my life! Plenty of water here, utilities are a fraction of what we we’re paying in California, car registration 60 dollars a year compare to 450 dollars in California, green trees all around us, four seasons, no traffic, kind and lovely neighbors, etc etc etc! We left California for 2 years and had to return. It's our home. We are central coast. Our state has been invaded by an enemy seeking to destroy it. And I don't mean the border. It's hard to hear everyone speak so horribly of our state. I get it, but this is the most amazing state and we are relinquishing it. Surrendering it. We will stay and fight. We must.

It was an incredibly one-sided rant, fairly dripping with venom. I think that many, like Allie, have taken a page from Trump's playbook, now feeling emboldened to say the quiet part out loud. The result is we're becoming the disunited states of America.
